Linda Tripp Praises Obama's 'Purity of Soul'

We know where Bill Clinton is, but what in the world happened to the other players from the former president’s Monica Lewinsky scandal? Well, Ms. Monica went to study in London and hasn’t been heard from since. Literary agent Lucianne Goldberg, who helped break the story, has remained quiet for Lucianne Goldberg, and we’ve heard nary a peep from Linda Tripp.   That is, however, until wOw tracked her down to the Christmas Sleigh store which she owns in Middleburg, VA, with her husband.

With more than 1,300 products, the C. Sleigh, according to their website, specializes in handmade or handcrafted European wares. From mouth-blown and hand-painted ornaments, to handmade collector’s dolls, to nutcrackers, smokermen, hand-carved nativities, paintings and the most incredible selection of authentic and beautifully made Austrian "Trachten" clothing available in this country – the store seems to have it all. Walking into Linda Tripp’s shop is a walk back in time!

Speaking of which, back in time it was Linda Tripp who famously taped her then-“friend” Monica Lewinsky relaying her titillating adventures with the president. Interested in hearing what Tripp had to say of the recent election (yes, she’s a week late in returning our e-mail), Tripp relayed the following thoughts: "I am so very proud that as a nation we might finally be getting it right. I believe Sen. McCain is an American hero and a deeply honorable public servant, something one seldom sees in Washington. I also believe he could have been a strong president. That said, I believe President-elect Obama possesses an instantly recognizable purity of soul that, coupled with his brilliance, and, of course, his eloquence, brought quite unimaginable and long-awaited magic to the country, transforming red and blue states, quite literally, into ‘The Color Purple.’ I believe the entire country will stand behind him."

Thank you, Linda! Now we’ll wait for our nice Christmas tree bulb. Red or green is fine.

I agree totally. How can someone say Barack Obama has “purity” of anything when this man has not been honest about his own background and affiliations.

Lucianne Goldberg has been silent for ten years? Yeah, except for the news website she’s been running the entire time, updated all day every day, which I go to every morning and which is linked on the front page of Matt Drudge’s website. Oh yeah, and what about Matt Drudge, one of the principal player’s in the Clinton scandal because he is the one who broke the news in the first place? He’s now the top referrer to newspaper websites all over the world and his website sets the agenda for what the news media chooses to focus on every day. He’s the most powerful journalist in the world. I wouldn’t have even found this article if it wasn’t for him. I think perhaps the author of this piece should ask herself “Where have I been for the past ten years?” Because Lucianne Goldberg didn’t go anywhere, and neither did Matt Drudge, whom she completely failed to mention.

Obama’s “purity” derives from his association with Jeremiah Wright, Rashid Khalidi, Tony Rezko and Bill the unabomber Ayers and his lovely wife Berandine.Only those who seek out the elegant and the charitable are able to reach such a higher plane

Linda Tripp is wrong, Obama’s soul is not pure. Obama will probably let Mossad slide on their 9/11 involvement. Obama will continue their wars. Mossad already owns Obama (he picked Rahm Emanuel, the son of a terrorist). So who won? Israel did, as always.

The neat thing about dredging this name up from the past is it gave the Pavlovian snots something to spew venom over.

Interesting take on the old times of Clinton’s peoples’ ‘trailer-trashing’ of women he targeted for his abuse. Someone mentioned something like “all the terrible things done by this administration” comparing Clinton’s “indiscretions” as so minor by comparison. As a teacher of massive numbers of immigrant students, I don’t think looking the other way and even preventing the UN from doing anything to stop the outright slaughter of 900,000 Rwandans by French armed government gunmen, who held these state-sponsored mass-murder victims until they could be macheted to death, is anything to be proud of. Nor do I feel that Clinton’s blithely allowing the Sudanese government to mass-murder 2,000,000 Black Christians and Animists, enslaving their children thereafter wherein most of them died by Moslem abuse is much for self-centered Americans to ignore, either. But somehow Bush’s delivering the Iraqi people from Saddam’s evil is considered a “terrible thing”; an abuse of the simplest act of thought, when my Iraqi refugee students tell me of massive state-sponsored mass-murder done for many years by Saddam and all the other modern despotic regimes in the Middle East. I think Linda Tripp personifies the blindness of the rich DC elitists who don’t care in the slightest that her preferred candidate would have abandoned the Iraqi people to their seventh century murderers, or to Saddam’s modern-day despotic regime. Either way the Iraqis get to die, but she gets to “feel good” by her smug buying of her absolution from racism by voting “correctly”.

Wow, Lynn, William was stating an opinion! He isn’t advocating for street riots! And, his opinion seems to have some validity due to some of Obama’s confusing rhetoric. Responding with facts as to why you believe he is wrong to include Mossad would be helpful; name-calling is getting sooooo old. Freshman English taught us that ad hominem is not an acceptable form of debate. [I don’t like it when pro-lifers call pro-choicers “baby-killers” and excuse their name-calling on their perceived righteousness of their cause. Neither is it reasonable to call someone a “brown shirt goose stepper” just because they have a problem with some elements of Mossad!] I am a proud Zionist, having supported Israel since raising money as a teenager! However, I am STUNNED at the notion of Rahm Emanuel as Chief of Staff. Indeed, the responses have been “mixed” at best. This choice indicates that Obama needs a “bad cop” or doesn’t trust his own instincts. Either way, it is not inspired to put a self-described “pit bull” in a position as sensitive as Chief of Staff. I am disappointed and hope for a correction as soon as possible. Rahm Emanuel cannot operate “as usual” while serving the President of the United States.

Linda, do you recall a lunch you had with ML in a lovely hotel dining room in Virgina, obviously thinking no one overheard the conversation? I do, and so does my elderly (high-level Republican) mentor (we were not there for political reasons).
