Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson to Wed? Lohan Fuels Wedding Rumors With 'Engagement' Ring

For several months, Lindsay Lohan’s sexual orientation has sparked headlines with rumors that she’s dating a female disc jockey named Samantha Ronson. As more images surface of the two holding hands and kissing, the blogosphere has been speculating that these two gals are planning to get married. Further fueling rumors that this is indeed true love, Lohan flashed a heart-shaped diamond ring on her engagement finger Wednesday when she accompanied Ronson on a DJ gig in New York, which can be seen in a photo on ABCNews.com.

Lohan’s rep Leslie Sloane Zelnik, in an e-mail to ABCNews.com, called such reports "ridiculous."

But according to the SFGate’s Daily Dish, Ronson reportedly told a crowd while performing at a party in Los Angeles: "By the end of this year, my love will be Mrs. Ronson," adding, "Tonight shows the power of a woman; to underestimate that is to underestimate the world."

The Gate predicts the two will walk down the aisle this Christmas, if Ronson has her way.

Lohan, who has usually kept quiet on the couple’s relationship, recently told Marie Claire magazine for their October issue that the pair has matching tattoos.

She said: "Samantha had some stars so I had some done as well."

Newsday reports Lohan saying,"I’m really happy. [Ronson’s] a great person. And she’s a great influence on people around her. But I think that anything that’s changed [in] my life is because of me. I’ve gone through it, and I’ve learned to deal with it and I’ve made the decision to move forward."

And should there be a wedding, Lindsay’s dad Michael Lohan probably will not attend.

"I’m a Christian and a minister," he told ABCNews.com Thursday. "God doesn’t condone those kind of relationships. And I would be a hypocrite if I condoned that kind of relationship."

Perhaps one of the reasons why she was so messed up for so long was confusion and fear about her true sexuality. I hope she is happy as everyone deserves that.

Then there’s her father. Marrying a girl 2 years older than your daughter is apparently okay with her God-fearing daddy-boy. Maybe not attending her wedding would be a good thing.

I wonder if God condones driving while intoxicated and driving without a license? Michael Lohan spent 2.5 years in jail, for these infractions as well as parole violations, before “Finding God” - Perhaps he and God shared a cell? Sadly, judgment is a huge part of Christianity. I hope Lindsay is happy. She is probably better of without her father’s involvement in her life. He is a parent who has capitalized on his children for years - every chance he gets for media attention: He is there, without regard for the impact it will have on his children. A proper father would decline comment on personal family matters. Michael Lohan should be praying to his new found God for guidance as he is ill behaved and not a very gracious Christian.

It truly amazes me that you, Pamela are sitting in the Judgement seat in regard to Mr. Lohan. It’s okay for you to judge him, but not okay for him to judge his daughter’s behavior as something that he does not want to endorse. As you have stated that Mr. Lohan is not a very gracious Christian, do you consider yourself to be a gracious person? I do not know Mr. Lohan and I’m betting that you don’t either. I don’t know you either so I am not judging you or him. I would just like to point out that you, in your comment, are doing to him the very thing that you are accusing him of doing. Everyone is intitled to their own opinion about homosexuality and everyone has to decide for themselves what having a relationship with God means to them. Just food for thought.

Lindsay is such a beautiful young woman. My prayers for her are that she makes it through this chapter of her life a better woman for all the tough experiences, and walks away having learned something in the long run. Somehow I don’t see her “married” to this young woman for long if that is indeed her intention. But then again I know so many people that are living closeted lives and not being true to what their desires are…..maybe all of the promiscuity with men before this moment led her to her true desire now? Who knows, certainly not me.

I would feel sorry for Michael Lohan, as he is obviously missing out on an important relationship with his daughter and her friends, but he’s obviously such a putz that I have no sympathy at all. I hope that Lindsay finds happiness and peace in her life with whomever she chooses. I also hope that she can find in her heart to forgive this supposedly Christian man for being so judgmental about her life.

This probably explains the horrible substance abuse problems that Lohan has suffered these many years. She is a very talented actress; hopefully, she will be able to pursue a long and productive career. However, I have a problem with discussing a person’s sexual orientation because it is none of our business. I would love to see someone that has had a similar problem discuss what it is like when society is so homophobic and yet they know inside that they are gay. Then, perhaps, it wouldn’t be a subject for gossip and speculation so much. And to her father, I would say, do not try to cast splinter out of another’s eye before you cast out the log out of your own, daddy dear.
