Elvis’s grandchildren are in the building.

Well, not exactly. But there are exclusive pictures of the famed singer’s daughter’s three-month-old children in the latest People magazine. Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla, proudly shows off her tiny twin girls, Finley and Harper, in an issue set to hit stores Friday.

In addition to showing off her adorable girls, Presley also reveals intimate details about her long and painful journey to get pregnant after suffering a miscarriage. Explains the 40-year old: "My blood was too thick and would clot, which caused several miscarriages. The moment I took blood thinners, I got pregnant."

We’re happy to hear Lisa Marie and her expanding family are happy and healthy. And we’re sure the news is also music to the late King’s ears.

I had never heard of the correlation between blood thinners and an increased ability to conceive….that’s interesting. I hope that is something widely known among women who want to conceive but have trouble doing so.

I sure wish we’d known about that possibility 10-years ago…

Yep it is true. I had the same thing diagnosed. The placenta’s blood supply is affected, either resulting in miss-carriage or pre-mature birth. Mine was not as severe as Lisa Marie’s. I had my only full-term pregnancy after being put on aspirin during the pregnancy. The condition is also a pre-cursor to stroke. So I now take a baby aspirin every day along with a B vitamin. A simple blood test during pregnancy can diagnose the condition. It is genetic and related to homocysteine levels in the blood and the ability to absorb folate.
