Liz Smith to Bush: Follow in Bill Clinton's Footsteps

Liz Smith

I would advise him to follow the example of President Clinton and devise a huge international rescue effort of some sort. There he could be effective and raise lots of money to help people the same way he managed to endow his rich friends like the people at Halliburton, etc. when he was in the White House. The only way he can erase his dismal record is to do something dramatic, just as President Clinton has done for the AIDs initiative.

Presidents’ Clinton & Bush the first do work together for things like raising money when Hurricane Ike hit here in Houston, it would be good if he got into something like this. Can’t believe I am seriously thinking of something for him to do but I like you idea.

Why is it that so many of you on this site, can do nothing but bash, debase others. You display nothing but hate. It accomplishes nothing. Problems of this nation will only be solved when ideas are discussed, to find solutions.

Bush’s record can never be “erased”, Liz. How can you erase the lives lost, the devastation done in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the infringement on personal rights, torture of prisoners & non-prisoners of war, and mortgaging the economic future of this country?
