The Liz Smith Love Letter!

In fact, these wOw women are the most interesting of the whole gang and give the best quotes about what it was like growing up historically. They tell how it felt to be a Hollywood child of stars, with other children of the famous for friends, amid the luxury, the high life, the divorces, the quarrels and the hard work of movie-making and magic swirling around you. Like, for instance, Fred Astaire coming down your street … Esther Williams giving you swimming lessons … and how “normal” they felt in this abnormal setting.

So don’t miss the March issue of Vanity Fair and just ask yourself, what are the odds of this website having, not one, but two wOw stars in the magazine this month?

We are so proud of Candice and Marlo, two little girls of La La Land who grew up to present their own giant talents to the world and at the same time, turned out to be terrific dames in their own right.

I have the Vanity Fair and after picking off a few of the articles, I was saving the Hollywood families for lunch. I love both pictures of Candace and Marlo. Their beauty shines through (as if that is hard). Wish I could see Whoopi in Legends. She is amazing. I saw the ad that she was on Sean Hannity last week and watched it, she was great and held her own very well - got her point across and left Hannity a little pointless.

Frannie, I’m not sure, but by the sounds of your post, one would think that Hannity and whoopi had a discontenting union of sorts….Not the case at all. I too watched the interview. They were very cordial to one another and if I had to guess, I’d even say they were friends. He would dispel many of Holmes theories, when they had their show together, but, even they were and are…….. very good friends.

OMG - I totally forgot about “Extra Paper…..Read All About It..Extra, Extra.” Seems they were always boys in knickers shouting this with their papers. This used to scare me to death, as I was a little kid and thought it was something terrible that had happened, and probably would affect me.

Do not remember ‘extra read all about it.” I was telling my grandson about using special fold over air mail stationery in the 50’sand 60’s that came with an air mail stamp. Joked it was Pony Express before that:). Liz, Joan Collins and Linda Evans weren’t in Dallas. At this moment, I cannot remember the name of the show. Probably will remember when I hit submit:) Anyone remember name of the show?

Dynasty. With John Forsythe (probably spelled that wrong :-) I think. I was in diapers in the 50’s and pretty young in the sixties, so I don’t remember the boys with the papers, outside of seeing movies. I love Whoopie, and can only imagine seeing one of her shows. Half a country away is a bit of a challenge. I wish them all well, and not surprised about the ladies in the magazine.
