I suppose sex can get better in long-term relationships but as I have never had a long-term romantic relationship that I can now remember, so how would I know? It wasn’t sex that worked for me anyway; it was my own delusions. I have moved now to a further plane.

Yes. I have been with my husband for twenty years and sex is great and much better than twenty years ago.
