Madonna and Guy Ritchie to Announce Divorce Plans

Bye-bye, Guy.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are finally kicking their troubled marriage to the curb, the British press reported last night.

The pop sensation and film director are planning to release a public statement "imminently" announcing their plans for divorce, reports the British Sun.

A source told the press that the stars "can’t bear to live with the pretense any longer." The Sun describes a history of spats between the two – screaming matches on Guy’s 40th birthday, sleeping in separate rooms during a vacation, arguments about where to raise their family and about adopting a fourth child.

This summer, stories surfaced that alleged Madonna was having an affair when Madge, 50, developed a close relationship with baseball player Alex Rodriguez, 33. The New York Yankees charmer’s divorce to estranged wife Cynthia was finalized this September.

Sources told the Sun that Madge wanted to hold off on making a public statement until her "Sticky and Sweet" tour ended. But apparently the marriage and the fighting reached a boiling point for them, according to the press. The split comes after the two tried to save their marriage with the help of "intense" Kabbalah sessions in Manhattan, People magazine reported in late July. Madonna is devoted to Jewish mysticism, which teaches that divorce is undesirable but permitted.

Despite these attempts, a "highly placed source" told the Sun that the divorce was inevitable.

"It wasn’t a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when,’" the source said.

Ritchie is in the middle of filming "Sherlock Holmes" with Robert Downey Jr. in London. Meanwhile, Madonna’s tour is in the U.S. for the next few months. The pair share three children: daughter Lourdes, 12, is from Madge’s past relationship with personal trainer Carlos Leon. They have a son Rocco, 8, and an adopted son David, 3.

Hmmm…curious…..

Just a couple of months ago when the supposed “rag magazines” were reporting there was trouble in their marriage and that they were going to file for divorce, they both said that was wrong, lies, and they were insulted by the mere implication.

I guess the Enquirer and the like aren’t as full of it as some of the stars would like us to believe. Sometimes that “close friends are saying….” actually exist.

LOL OMG, Yep it seems like when you dis someone for no just cause or reason, it usually comes back to bite ya in the ass somehow. And to think Sarah Palin would have even considered attending a concert by “Mad-donna” is at best, delusional on Madge’s behalf. Here is a prime case of one woman thinking that another woman, can’t to a fine job in the White house, while that same woman, can’t even keep her family together, in their house.

Hey Elaine —- Gee Whiz! Another Hollywood marriage hite the rocks!!! Wow, what a surprise! What a lot of hooey!

So, here’s a tricky legal question for you ——Since J-Lo and Marc Anthony renewed their vows, does that mean, in Hollywood logic, that they’d have to get divorced two times before they can end their marriage? LOL

I hope you can answer this mind boggling question ASAP cause I’m gonna be puzzling over this like crazy!!! LOL

Gosh Lady G, I hope that the 20 minute delay between your question and my response has not caused you any further distress concerning this matter, LOL. You are absolutely correct, They must, I repeat must, get a divorce twice before the marriage can legally be deemed truly absolved! I too, like millions of others with no life of my own, am absolutely devasted over Madonna’s divorce and must admit that Lady G, I don’t know if I can go on…… as I know of certain, that my life, will never be the same, ROTFLMAO!!!!!!

Must admit, I didn’t read this article, but in truth, I wonder why we even address such topics. Yes, I realize some peole are fascinated with others lives, and the affairs, and activities of “stars”, those exposed to the camera, and other vacuuous activities, but this incredible group on WowOWow seems so far above all that. No offense intended - we are probably “above” the political crapola that’s going on, but venting here is partially supporting our sanity.

Please excuse me for my posture on those in the entertainment industry - their lives, children, marriages, divorces, operations, affairs, finaces, etc. It’s become such a pasttime that now on every TV show we see other TV personalities, ad nauseum. It’s becoming like a closed-shop of “you pat my back and I’ll be there.”
