Madonna and Guy Ritchie Divorce Settlement

Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to a divorce settlement. And it seems that Madonna won’t have to share any of her hard-earned millions — but will have to share her sons with her ex. Guy — who had the right to half of the millions Madge has earned in their last eight years of marriage — has chosen his boys instead of money.

The couple reportedly agreed that sons Rocco, 8, and adopted David, 3, will remain in London with film-director dad, sharing some time with Madge in the U.S., reports the Times online. The Times also learned that daughter Lourdes will continue to live with Madonna in New York City.

Last month, Guy reportedly shot down a $20 million deal. Now, reportedly, under this settlement, Madge (who’s worth $300 million) won’t be giving Guy (who’s worth $30 million) a cent.

Today, a notice of their decree nisi will be posted in the Registry of the Family Division in London.

So Madonna chose to have her sons that she supposedly loves so much, remain in London with partial custody in the States, and in doing so she gets to keep her money…..hmmmm says a lot about her doesn’t it? Well, at least she’ll have plenty of free time unencumbered to party and live it up with her latest love Arod. Oh well, now we know where her priorities lie.

Hi Belinda: I am only slightly surprised that she chose to leave the boys with Guy. The whole adoption thing with the boy, David, in my opinion was a publicity stunt. After all ,the WORLD was fawning over Angie & what’s his name, so madonna needed some of that attention.

I’m with you Irish, it was so clear it was a publicity stunt. And that in and of itself spoke volumes about how she views aspects of her life. To simply buy a kid as if she was buying a purse…”let’s see….I want it in black….small, not to large….easy to carry….something that will get all the attention when I have it on my arm…..” Give me a break. The most amusing aspect to all of this will be watching and hearing her lose that fake british accent she acquired.

I think her ex-husband sounds like a very upstanding man. You rarely see people of his caliber in celebrity divorces.

However, I can’t imagine how Madonna can move to a different country than her two young boys, no matter how much time they get to spend with her in NYC.

I wish I could say I am surprised but not. I am sure those boys will be flown back and forth, back and forth and then when there older and Madonna is wondering what happened, she will blame someone else, instead of herself. Oh well…I pray those boys aren’t scarred too much!

I’m in shock. I cannot believe she would cave in to something as trivial and common as MONEY! Madge, baby, honey, don’t you know your kids will be therapy for this for YEARS! I would be a train wreck knowing my kids could use this as ammunition against me when they got older. If it were me I’d put up more of a fight. But maybe she’s okay with it. If she can sleep at night over this, then God bless her soul. She’s not the women I thought she was. I try not to judge but I am very disappointed. At least one of them as a sense of what is valuable. Damn. (shaking my head)

He’s class, she’s trash… and getting creepier looking - kind of resembling Michael Jackson now. The boys are better off- the daughter will need the therapy.

I never liked Madonna. I never liked the image she projected for so many young women to aspire to. Sex, raw sex and money, money, money. She was just an angry, raucous, irreverent misfit from the start. I preferred Cyndi Lauper.

Wow—this certainly shows her priorities. I didn’t think she was saintly, but I thought she loved her kids. I think she loves her money a lot—how sad, money can never make you happy. And I’m really impressed with her husband; like someone else said—classy. And obviously puts his kids needs first.
