Marlo Thomas: All Hands on Deck to Repair 'Reckless' Bush Nation

Marlo Thomas
We have a lot of repairs to make around the world after eight years of reckless Bush diplomacy, and the more hands we have on deck, the better.

Bush’s diplomacy reckless? I guess ‘the Messiah’s’ diplomacy of letting Iran, Hamas, and the terrorists in Iraq having whatever they want will work better. He’s a token POTUS and is out of his league. 60 minutes of boring drivel about ‘warm and fuzzy’ just because he likes hearing the sound of his own voice will definitely help the problems in the Middle East.+

Bush failed to focus on Osama and the Taliban, and ticked off the entire world by attacking Iraq on the premise of ‘weapons of mass destruction’. I’d called the incredibly reckless. Obama’s trying to mend the incredible damage Bush has done. Out of his league? That comment’s out of this world. As for liking the sound of his own voice, O is merely trying to speak to the people who elected him, rather than be drowned out by all of the war-mongering Republicans who’ve mortgaged the future of this country.

Gee, Steve, I didn’t realize that you thought Obama was the second coming of Jesus. But you seem a bit confused, because you also refer to him as “a token POTUS.” Token in what way? because he’s black? Does the fact that he’s black really bother you THAT much? As for his press conference, I guess, as a devotee of Bush and Palin, you prefer your politicians to not be able to speak in complete sentences, much less in well constructed paragraphs. LOL!!!!!

Was quoting the idiot Louis Farakhan. And as a devotee of Nobama, you like to be put to sleep by your exhaulted leader’s speeches.

The fact that he’s black doesn’t bother me. The fact that he got elected ONLY BECAUSE he’s black does bother me. The Democrat Party needed a stooge to rubber stamp their agenda in Congress. And they got one.

What a biggotted comment. Guess someone’s hooked up intravenously to Radical Republican talk radio 24/7.

Yup. It appears that Steve can’t help but show his true colors.

Why does everyone forget the FACT that he is biracial?  He’s not 100% black.

Better than being a “token” human being. I’m referring here to W., of course. History WILL recount the presidency of George W. Bush as among the worst in the history of the United States…if not THE worst. It’s therefore beyond belief that people hold him in any esteem whatsoever. But then it’s also beyond belief that America elected him to two terms. What’s even more fascinating is how America then elected one of the most historically significant presidents in the country’s history…and from what I can see so far, a man of great intelligence and pragmatism who also “gets” people, no matter their socio-economic status. Interesting times in which we live…

I cannot hold my breath until eternity.

Besides, I have better things to do.  :)

I think that Pres. Obama was elected not because he was black as stated in a previous post but in spite of being black. The writing on the wall for this country came with the bank melt down, that was the nail in McCain’s coffin. The people voted to elect a president that would take the country in a new direction, and God knows we need to create jobs to fix our broken economy and mend our fences with our allies to restore our standing in the world.

My goodness Steve, did you stop to read what you wrote? President Obama won because the republicans could not compete with him. In your eyes, how dare that black man beat your white candidate? I hope when black people see you they run like hell …what hate mongering!

I can see why Steve is such a fan of Bush’s. Their literacy level is about equal. He probably can’t understand Obama when he speaks. And the idea of a black man who’s so much smarter than he is must be killing him.
