How about sending his family to the war zone for a day, so he knows how it feels.

Or, James, how about telling them we are sending them for a week, but then at the end of the week, another week, and then another week, and then another….

And now since we are bogged down in a war based on deception in Iraq- we don’t have the troops to fightr the real war in Afghanistan.

Mugsy-Wugsy, you read my mind. No, I’m sure Bush thinks because he prays to God that it justifies doing whatever he wants. But, as Tomas Young said in the “Body of War” documentary clip I viewed online (http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/03212008/profile.html) , Jesus Christ wasn’t too hip on slaughtering people, unless it’s self-defense. That’s why I say the war in Afghanistan has some justification, but not the one in Iraq.

Hahaha, like your career Marlo? You must have retired about 30 years ago because that’s how long ago you were relevant at all.

Right on, Tracy.

If you knew anything at all, you would know what a totally stupid remark this is, as well as inaccurate. Or perhaps you’ve been skulking under a rock somewhere and have never heard of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, for which Ms. Thomas is the outreach director. Like President Carter (Habitat has now built a quarter of a million homes), Ms. Thomas has raised millions upon millions of dollars in the service of others. You, however, spend your time insulting her on the internet. Helping children…. insults on internet…. Hum.

Ok, Tracy T, …. oh my … are you insane? Or on account it is a holiday you are “not yourself”? Marlo Thomas was my first. She (her skills as an actor) told me it was GREAT to be spot on knowing working female. When you say the words “Marlo Thomas” you say a combination of ideas …. family, freedom, oh, did I mention “freedom of words” … hello! Phil Donahue …. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY and god bless freedom of Phil’s speech. Thank you Phil. Truth in marketing has value. Marlo Thomas allowed me to think at a tender age of 7 that is was FAB to be MOD and independent from Donald. Mr. Donahue allowed me to think “thinking” on my own was an asset to be cherished. Danny Thomas let me know that family was what we Americans were all about. LOVE, love everybody … St. Jude … OMG, that is so frickin’ great … the poor families that can’t do for their child … DANNY THOMAS and COMPANY to include all the familia … forever golden … history. Oh, did I say history again … yeah, I did … on account … The lesson that will be transmitted from here to eternity on account of Ms. Marlo’s talent and family image is one that has been screaming at us for years. Ms. Marlo, I think all that you are is so very beautiful. Tracy, I am sorry, Tracy, My dear, you are dismissed … exit stage left and swiftly out the back door. Thank you in advance

I WANT TO CLARIFY THIS The lesson that will be transmitted from here to eternity on account of Ms. Marlo’s talent and family image is one that has been screaming at us for years. I what I wanted to say was …. The lesson that will be transmitted from here to eternity on account of Ms. Marlo’s talent and family image is one that has been guiding us for us years. Screaming for equality and sending a message of quality …. I should have used a different word!

BTW- I saw Ms. Thomas acting (working- not retired) on an episode of Law and Order.

I think Marlo’s more relevant than ever. I think spending incredible time and energy to help save the lives of children - present and future - through the promotion of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) is relevant. But, hey, go ahead and slam the lady, rather than sticking to the issues.

Here! Here! Tracy!!! I’m so sick of celebrities thrusting their opinion on the rest of us. And I’m even more tired of the media convincing us that celebrities are important.

Well, except he hasn’t and we aren’t. We are more at risk now at any time in our nation’s history. Sleep well, Juanita.
