Mary Wells Bets Obama Is Tired of Lincoln

In response to: Has Lincoln's model of the 'Team of Rivals' been fulfilled in the Obama Cabinet?

I don’t know about Lincoln’s model of the Team of Rivals, but I bet Obama is as tired of having Lincoln hanging over his head as I am.

I hear what you’re saying Mary, but if you have to have someone you’re constantly compared to….what better person than Abraham Lincoln?

I don’t think Obama is tired of having Lincoln hanging over his head, he is riding with the thought in his head, and adores it! Like you , Mary, not only tired but also i am sickened by it!

He’s the one that compared himself to Lincoln, his idol. Now he can live with it. If he’s sick of it, it’s because he knows he can’t possibly measure up to Lincoln, ever.
