Actress Mia Farrow bid her final farewell to daughter Lark Previn Tuesday.

Previn died on Christmas Day. Although the cause of death has not been released, Previn had been sick for more than 10 years, according to The New York Daily News. Previn, a 35-year-old mom of two girls, was the Vietnamese-born adopted daughter of Farrow and musician Andre Previn.

A service was held Tuesday in Brooklyn. Farrow and her two granddaughters attended.

"She had dark moments in her life but she put one foot in front of the other and kept going," the Rev. Timothy Tighe said during the service. "She pushed herself deeply so that she might keep going [for her daughters]."

Previn’s sister, Soon-Yi Previn, was at the center of Farrow’s nasty breakup with Woody Allen. Farrow discovered in 1992 that Allen was having an affair with adopted Soon-Yi, then 22. The two later married. But a bitter custody fight over Farrow and Allen’s adopted and biological children, which involved Lark Previn, ensued.

I’m sorry to hear this. I remember keeping up with Mia/Woody’s break up, and only ever heard of Lark then. It seems she lived privately and quietly and would be unhappy to know her death made the news. My condolences to her daughters.

Yeah, seriously - whatever happened to privacy? Or minding one’s own business, for that matter.

I send my condolences to Mia and the granddaughters. Just a thought here: Doesn’t Woody Allen look like he probably has body ordor? I always had that opinion of him, among other things.

Sibelle, Why? Did you look at the picture of my husband? lol.. yea, sometimes he gets smelly, too, but it’s more from refried beans and beer- bad combo. He’s not quite old enough to be stale yet. Happy New Year to you, too!

Dee: Tee Hee Hee. What did that girl see in him? All his money still wouldn’t do it for me.

Irish, …and what did Mia see in him in the first place?! His humor is quirky, I guess that could have been a turn on… over twenty years ago. You’re right, money wouldn’t cut it for me, either.

Irish Eyes I hear you. Woody was never a matinee idol for me. I have several brothers. Over the years I have continually questioned why they married or dated the women they did given the heart ache both have suffered (of course my personal concern mostly my brother’s confusion, pain and angst)—afterall they are my brothers 2 younger and one older. But the unescapable response from them has always been “I love(d)” her. So what can you do but be there for your family and brother’s . Of course sisters too……… That’s what’s its all about living, loving, hurting, enjoying, surviving, etc.

Poor Mia, she has had quite a rough life. Some of it her own doing and some of it thrust upon her. Either way, I send my prayers to her and her family.

It’s hard to lose a child at any age. However, to lose a child on Christmas Day will tarnish all the Christmas’s to come. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I KNEW IT. I knew that I would come in here and find people trashing Woody Allen (and Soon-Yi, in the reader responses to the linked article). Off-topic, ignorant, AND insensitive. People are SO predictable it’s almost impossible to be disappointed anymore. Poor Mia - sending good vibes her way!
