Michelle Obama's Inauguration Style: Her Hairstylists Tell wOw

Barack Obama may be getting sworn in at the Inauguration, but all eyes are on Michelle Obama. And we all want to know: How will she wear her hair? What is she wearing?
While all our questions will be answered when we see the stunning Mrs. Obama Tuesday on TV, wowOwow reached out to the two men she entrusted to do her hair that day to get the inside scoop. Moments before Michael "Rahni" Flowers and Daryl Wells from Chicago’s Van Cleef Salon were to board a plane to Washington, they wrote in to us to tell us what we should expect.
From hair products to style preference to choice of dress, here’s what the style gurus know …
On her current haircut:
Currently, she has a gently layered bob that allows for versatility. We have always kept her styles and haircuts classic, while still keeping in tune with current fashion. At times she has worn her hair in a flip, or slightly more curled, but overall she prefers a simple yet classic look.
On how she may wear her hair:
Generally, Mrs. Obama prefers to wear her hair in a classic, simple style that looks professional and, yet, is easy to wear. For more formal occasions, the same style can be modified to present a more sophisticated look. Our goal is always healthy, beautiful hair that is stylish, professional and elegant.
On her outfit:
The outfits that she has chosen for the numerous upcoming events this week have not been disclosed to the public, nor to us.
On the hair products:
For textured hair, there are various products and brands such as Avalon, Affirm, Elucence, Wella and Fiberguard that can safely straighten the hair and also address the need for strength and deep conditioning. Aveda produces several products that are well suited for maintaining the style at home such as Anti-humectant and Control Paste. We prefer to allow the hair to move freely, so only a light holding spray or shine-enhancing product is misted on at the finish.
However Mrs. Obama arrives to the myriad of events, we have no doubt she’ll stun us with her style.
