it’s not urgent for 3 1/2 years. and how do you battle any old bigot anyway? you take them on one argument at a time. she may be able to restore her reputation, but most of us will start out thinking she’s unqualified unless she shows us a propensity to study that she has never shown. so the main worry is that she could become a fox news commentator.

LOL - just said on the other wolf cartoon that I was glad she lost but I was worried about the wolves she was coming home to threaten. It’s funny how she shoots the animals yet Fox loves her.

Thanks, Emcye, for forwarding Rosie’s wonderful poem. That was very thoughtful of you…and Rosie! Isn’t Rosie great? I’m glad you’re posting with us, Emcye. You are very interesting. Jane

(Excuse me while I totally kill the mood with my righteous socio-political outrage. LOL) I think Rosie is THE most misunderstood celebrity of our time… What people often mistake as anger/bitterness, is nothing but passion to me…as though it’s a crime to FEEL too much in this apathetic society. People tend to assume she’s just another “angry lesbian” (would they see her character for what it really is if she was heterosexual? I somehow bet they would, unfortunately) - I get called that particular name at least twice a month, and it’s usually when I am not even raising my voice at all but only asking rational, truth-seeking questions. “I am not an angry girl, but it seems like I’ve got everyone fooled - every time I say something they find HARD TO HEAR, they chalk it up to my anger and NEVER TO THEIR OWN FEAR.” -Ani DiFranco One the defining moments of my high school experience (total nightmare, of course) was when I was a freshman - always the loner, observing from the sidelines - and I was approached by a sophomore who seemed to dance to the beat of her own drum. I can’t quite remember how the topic came up but she once said to me quite seriously, “Don’t listen to them. You are NOT angry; you are just passionate and there is NOTHING wrong with that!” - her name was Lindsey V. and to this day I still hang out with her sometimes, although she is quite busy contributing something positive to the world by majoring in Social Work while being an activist for the Trans(gender/sexual) community… Wow! Where was I even going with that? And has anybody seen my Art Soup???

You’re exactly right, as per usual. Rosie is the Gertrude Stein of our time, ‘few ask me. The good news: Rosie’s about to do what she was born to do: A Variety Show. You know she’s a bigtime devotee of the Sid Ceasar, Carol Burnett, Sonny and Cher and Ed Sullivan formats - this should be so good for us all. [I wonder if she needs Lily and Jane to toss in their ideas? ] And I bet, Kryssi, When she says variety - she means Variety.

It’s very deep that you’ve elected to break the 4th wall at wOw and consistently interact with the ladies. It’s funny: I hear lyrics to the song, Dear Prudence {in my mind} whenever I see your posts… The sunisout, theskyisblue, it’s beautiful and so are you. Dear Prudence, won’t you come out to play…

This wolf-killing of hers was pretty high profile, and mostly reviled. My guess is she’s going to lay low on that activity for a while. The wolves are safe for now.

There are women who run with wolves and women who shoot wolves. Hey Sarah, as John Lennon sang, “karma’s gonna getcha.”
