Gossip Girls: Talk to Your Parents About John McCain (Video)

MoveOn.org has released a new ad encouraging young people to talk to their parents about the "risks" of voting for John McCain. The video is modeled after the public service announcements encouraging parents to talk to their children about drug prevention.
The viral pro-Obama video was released Tuesday, as part of MoveOn’s Youth Vote program and Partnership for a McCain-Free White House, and stars the very popular 21-year-olds Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, who play drama-drenched high schoolers on the CW hit show "Gossip Girl."
MoveOn.org, a left-leaning nonprofit organization, writes on their website that "young people overwhelming [sic] support Barack Obama. But too many of their parents don’t."
In the opening, Badgley holds up a hat that reads the Republican mantra on oil independence — "DRILL BABY DRILL" — and he says with disgust, as if it were drug paraphernalia, that he found it in his parent’s bedroom. Click on the video below to watch young people compare voting Republican (even once) to drug users using for the first time.
