Estelle Reiner: "I'll Have What She's Having" / YouTube

Estelle Reiner — who delivered the famous line "I’ll have what she’s having" after watching Meg Ryan fake an orgasm in the romantic comedy "When Harry Met Sally" – died on Saturday at the age of 94.

Reiner was married to comedy legend, director and actor Carl Reiner (creator of "The Dick Van Dyke Show"). She’s the mother of director Rob Reiner (who directed the 1989 film "When Harry Met Sally"). She passed away in her Beverly Hills house from natural causes, according to published reports. In addition to Carl and Rob, she is survived by another son, Lucas; a daughter, Annie; and five grandchildren.

Reiner also was a singer. She discovered her vocal talents when she was a teenager growing up in Bronx, N.Y., and performed on radio shows.

Watch the "When Harry Met Sally" clip where Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal are seated in Kat’z Deli on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. After arguing over whether women can realistically fake an orgasm, Ryan decides to demonstrate exactly how it’s done …

HA BIBI
This is sad, she was a wonderful talent and companion to Carl Reiner.

I always loved that scene—the whole movie too—but that scene particularly. My boyfriend (at the time we saw the movie) had his mouth hanging open with disbelief. (That, in part, is why he is an ex-boyfriend.) Some guys just don’t understand women. Estelle Reiner said the perfect line, a gem. Condolences to her family.

I’ve actually done that scene in my own life and I thought it was hilarious! Those around us…..not so much. But I was trying to prove a point to a male friend and it worked. He genuinely did not (he does now) believe women were capable of faking the big “O”. Guys are so funny sometimes. :-)

Best scene in the whole movie. Great family too.

Agreed, that is absolutely the most memorable moment in the movie!

I imagine the Reiner family remember her for much more than this little clip. I don’t know how comedians grieve, but I’m sure they have many memories to celebrate. But to “die at home of natural causes”?? I’ll have what Estelle was having…
