My Gift to Myself: The Vivienne Tam Netbook (Video)

I did it. I ordered myself the HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam edition Netbook. And, lucky me: It arrived in time for Christmas:
This is definitely the most feminine gadget I’ve ever bought, but I’m typing on it right now, and I have to say: I absolutely adore this little laptop. It’s so tiny, but the keyboard is definitely not too small for daily use. It weighs just 2.5 pounds (slightly more with the power adapter), so I think it’s about to become the laptop I use exclusively for travel.
And did I mention that it’s utterly gorgeous? I think this little designer Netbook could mark a turning point in gadgets "for women" — they don’t have to be plain old tacky pink to be feminine, they can carry some hot fashion week cachet, and they can be practical and useful in addition to beautiful. After all, that’s all we’re really asking for, right?
Happy holidays, everyone!
