New McCain Video Calls Out Media For Obama 'Love'

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

John McCain’s campaign wants people to know that the media is in love. Just not with him.

Yesterday, they released these videos on YouTube and sent out e-mails to supporters asking them to visit his site and vote on which song best articulates the press’s love for Barack Obama.

The campaign yesterday sent an e-mail out to supporters saying:

"It’s pretty obvious that the media has a bizarre fascination with Barack Obama. Some may even say it’s a love affair. We want you to be the judge. We’ve compiled two videos of the more outrageous moments of this not-so-secret love affair. Follow this link to watch the two videos and vote on which one you think is better. Your vote will determine which video we put on the air.

"The media is in love with Barack Obama. If it wasn’t so serious, it would be funny."

The first video is played to the tune of Frankie Valli’s "Can’t Take My Eyes Off You," the second to Vallie’s "My Eyes Adored You." Both montages include snippets of various newscasters and other media types just exuding praise for the Democratic presidential hopeful. One example is Chris Matthews saying Obama caused a "thrill" to go up his leg. As of 9:30 this morning, video and song #1 has the lead, 86 percent to 14 percent. There has been no official response from the Obama camp.

Buh- Bye
LOL to Linda Mason. Who evidentially has no idea of how closely I followed this primary election as well as how vigorously I campaigned both in contributions and actions for Clinton, by far the superior candidate. I am over Obama, exactly the way I became over Bush. Which means, I have stopped paying attention to the grotesque news which unabashedly skews so ridiculously in his favor and at one time in Bush’s favor… lest we all forget. No credibility in the media whatsoever. Wag The Dog. (who do you blame? big business corps who own the media and ensure news is dumbed down and that pretty boys and gals without ethical journalism credentials populate the airwaves? or do you blame the people who salivate over clever slogans like Change and word concoctions like Branjolina and Billary. A very popular one in the Obama camp btw) This pack journalism happened in the Bush/Gore election when the media suddenly turned on the “wooden” Gore and ripped him to shreds, ignoring the fact that Bush had proved himself a buffoon in every effort he had undertaken and even to his own family. That trajectory continued, especially after 911, when Bush and Cheney could do no wrong and were loved up by the media who never questioned a thing they did for fear of being labeled unpatriotic or just because he was a good ole boy who they’d “want to have a beer with.” Instead the media jumped on the bandwagon to crucify the Dixie Chicks, who made one negative offhand remark about this rogue president and his puppet master vice president. Juicy stuff attacking musicians. Great visuals - CDs burning in oil cans, and being crushed by heavy machinery. Finally, when Katrina hit and the prez was a no show before the media they finally started to pay notice, (they could smell the public’s anger) but did they examine the fact that one of the reasons that the executive branch (cum oil cabal) was too busy to help these suffering and dying Americans in crisis was because they were behind closed doors finding ways to capitalize on the disaster… first order of business, remove pollution controls on the oil refineries… a situation which has not been reversed. No, they did not. I am ‘over’ paying attention to this newbie Senator with a pathetic and suspect record who is getting a pass from the media, exactly the way they gave a pass to Bush. Every news report must be taken with a grain of salt, because history is repeating here folks, as lovely as the words Hope and Change tend to be. If you don’t examine the facts, you accept the PR spin. When a candidate comes out of nowhere politically (I can’t forget those savvy 100 pass votes in the Senate on difficult issues - Mr Obama protecting his record in advance of his White House run) and when a newbie candidate is backed financially with a stunningly robust bank account, and when a newbie candidate can’t win the party base despite this financial campaign strength but has to grab the nomination through insider super delegate votes, reporters should be uncovering every rock to find out why. This is a done deal as far as the media is concerned. The media, owned by big corporations with distinct business interests. Obama is a win at all costs candidate. Throwing anyone under the bus (Wright, Ferraro, President Clinton) who is against his goal to be president. Everyone should be over Obama. He sullied the name of our beloved TWO TERM Democratic President by tossing the race card around. Obama’s team uses the race card the way the Bush/Cheney team used patriotism. It is so horrifically apparent to those who are paying attention. But when you see the writing on the wall, when you see that it is hopeless to fight the media stronghold, you stop watching the train wreck, and save it for the polling booth. Listening to NPR a month ago I heard an interviewee (Sorry can’t remember who) try to explain why Hillary supporters were not falling in line behind Obama… she said that something in this primary election changed from other elections that could not be ignored. I agree. There was terrible sexism and the DNC ignored the voice of the people. Two whole states were counted out - Michigan and Florida. ABSURD! And Super Delegates determined the candidate the way the Supreme Court determined a president. This cannot be ignored, and if we the people don’t send a message to the DNC NOW that we will not be manipulated like this in the future… we will lose all voting power forever. Something really sinister is going on when the media falls in line like this… pack journalism at its worst. If we elect John McCain we will have to suffer 4 more years of Republican rule, but we can take the House and keep that in check. It may be the only way to hold onto the integrity of the Democratic Party. P.S. Note to Frannie Em - I haven’t been around a while - involved in professional pursuits that wouldn’t let me procrastinate as much. Good to see you tho!
