New McCain Video Calls Out Media For Obama 'Love'

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

John McCain’s campaign wants people to know that the media is in love. Just not with him.

Yesterday, they released these videos on YouTube and sent out e-mails to supporters asking them to visit his site and vote on which song best articulates the press’s love for Barack Obama.

The campaign yesterday sent an e-mail out to supporters saying:

"It’s pretty obvious that the media has a bizarre fascination with Barack Obama. Some may even say it’s a love affair. We want you to be the judge. We’ve compiled two videos of the more outrageous moments of this not-so-secret love affair. Follow this link to watch the two videos and vote on which one you think is better. Your vote will determine which video we put on the air.

"The media is in love with Barack Obama. If it wasn’t so serious, it would be funny."

The first video is played to the tune of Frankie Valli’s "Can’t Take My Eyes Off You," the second to Vallie’s "My Eyes Adored You." Both montages include snippets of various newscasters and other media types just exuding praise for the Democratic presidential hopeful. One example is Chris Matthews saying Obama caused a "thrill" to go up his leg. As of 9:30 this morning, video and song #1 has the lead, 86 percent to 14 percent. There has been no official response from the Obama camp.

I don’t know about the name calling - but your tirades here are evident. Sounds like anger to me or maybe frustration.

Yes, well if you want to call a different opinion a “tirade” so be it, says more about you than me. No anger here, just facts.

Marjorie, if McCain is getting a “free ride” because the press is solely focused on Obama, why is McCain stupid enough to point that out with these videos?

Excellent point Lorraine. McCain IS getting a free ride, and if he was smart he’d quit whining about it. They’re even editing his interviews at CBS to hide from the American people his mistakes when he talks about Iraq. Considering Iraq is supposed to be his strong point, I think we deserve to know that he either doesn’t know that the “Anbar Awakening” not only happened before the surge, it happened even before the surge was ever conceived, or he’s making stuff up to win an election. Either way, it’s our right to know, but the media is not only NOT reporting fully on his many gaffes concerning the Middle East, but now we know they are actually tampering with video in order to make him look better.

Lorraine I think it is also meant to pull people in that are on the fence and inundated with Obama news.

Frank, I’m not sure if you are disagreeing or agreeing and I’m not sure to what post. But, maybe it was to me saying they’re not covering Obama’s trip and you are disagreeing and saying there is “plenty of coverage in the NY Times”. Is that it? If it was, just to clarify, I meant they’re not covering it in the wowowow website. I do know he’s getting lot’s of coverage elsewhere, as it should be, it is news. If I’m mistaken about your post, sorry about that, there were so many in between I can’t really be sure what you were referring to.

Ironic that at the same time McCain is releasing this video whining about the media being in love with Obama, CBS has shown itself to be quite biased on McCain’s behalf. In fact, not only biased, but willing to cover up for him. After Katie Couric’s interview with McCain last night CBS edited and changed a response McCain made to a question, in order to hide his latest “gaffe” from the American people. McCain who presumes to be the “expert” on Iraq, either attempted to rewrite history, or just made another huge error regarding the Iraq War and the surge that puts into question either his faculty or actual knowledge of what is going on. McCain stated that the surge strategy was responsible for the “Anbar Awakening,” in which Sunni sheiks turned against Al Qaeda, helping in turn to reduce violence in the country. WRONG! In fact, as Spencer Ackerman and Ilan Goldenberg have reported, the record firmly establishes the opposite: instead of being caused by the surge, the key signs of the Anbar Awakening occurred not only before that strategy was implemented, but before it was ever conceived. CBS aired Couric’s question but took out his answer and replaced it with a response to another question. Ironic that this happened on the very day McCain released a video saying OBAMA is the darling of the media. Not only are the networks playing down McCain’s many gaffes and errors regarding the war he says he’s the expert on… now they’re even covering up for him.
