New McCain Video Calls Out Media For Obama 'Love'

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

John McCain’s campaign wants people to know that the media is in love. Just not with him.

Yesterday, they released these videos on YouTube and sent out e-mails to supporters asking them to visit his site and vote on which song best articulates the press’s love for Barack Obama.

The campaign yesterday sent an e-mail out to supporters saying:

"It’s pretty obvious that the media has a bizarre fascination with Barack Obama. Some may even say it’s a love affair. We want you to be the judge. We’ve compiled two videos of the more outrageous moments of this not-so-secret love affair. Follow this link to watch the two videos and vote on which one you think is better. Your vote will determine which video we put on the air.

"The media is in love with Barack Obama. If it wasn’t so serious, it would be funny."

The first video is played to the tune of Frankie Valli’s "Can’t Take My Eyes Off You," the second to Vallie’s "My Eyes Adored You." Both montages include snippets of various newscasters and other media types just exuding praise for the Democratic presidential hopeful. One example is Chris Matthews saying Obama caused a "thrill" to go up his leg. As of 9:30 this morning, video and song #1 has the lead, 86 percent to 14 percent. There has been no official response from the Obama camp.

Diana, In this case I think a lot of the negativity comes from McCain’s supporters having no enthusiasm for their own candidate. Most of the people saying they are voting for McCain, voted for someone else in the Primaries, now they’re stuck voting for someone they’re not that thrilled with. In most cases, a vote FOR McCain is a vote AGAINST Obama. And then you contrast that with the enthusiasm and hope behind Obama coming from his campaign AND his supporters… and they have to resort to calling his supporters “fans” etc… because they have nothing else.

Hmm, DeB, I never thought of that angle. Interesting. They sure aren’t saying anything of substance, are they. I mean, hitting on Obama for going to the Holocaust museum? Shallow at best.

McCain is just feeling nostalgic and little bit jealous. He probably remembers when the press was in love with him. I do.

Elizabeth—I think a good proportion of the press still is in ‘love’ with Johnny and not just the FoxNews dudes. It still shows.

Elizabeth- I do too…difference though….Obama didn’t spend time making videos about it.

You’re right Josie, it’s so tacky, Obama doesn’t do tacky. OK, he tried “tacky” but gave it up when he discovered he can’t bowl! lol

For a guy who’s campaign is hurting for money, McCain probably should have put the kibosh on spending his contributors’ donations on these silly vids. But sour grapes can cause one to throw good sense out the window. Hope that’s not a foreshadowing of the McCain economic policy.

And for a gal who likes to write, I should have proofread. “Who’s” is “whose” …

Maurine- LOL! my hands are filled with typos like judgement instead of judgment. Fingers don’t fail me now!

Well, Josie, if you ask me “judgment” should have that “e” in it. Sometimes I just add letters for fun because it makes more sense to have them. And I was an English teacher for…..years. Shhhh…….

Maurine I have found that when I type it ends up phonetic, hear for here; or there for their and vice versa, as well as the who thing above. I proof sometimes, but I still miss it because my brain just flips it to the correct form because of the sound. Ay YI YI YI YI
