Kidman Shows Oprah and the World First Picture of Her 'Miracle' Baby (Video)

Nicole Kidman is glowing these days, and not just because of the anticipation surrounding her new movie, “Australia,” with the hunky Aussie Hugh Jackman — due for release this Friday.
It’s also due to the birth of her “miracle” baby, Sunday Rose.
Kidman broke her own vow not to show the baby girl to the world when she flashed a photo of the infant Tuesday on “Oprah.”
Kidman took a palm-sized black and white photo from her wallet and gave it to Oprah Winfrey, who held it up to the crowd. The photo was taken by Kidman’s husband, country crooner Keith Urban, on his iPhone.
"Oh, [she’s] so much like Keith — I call her Keithette," Kidman said, when asked who four-month-old Sunday Rose resembled more.
How did the couple come up with the name Sunday Rose? It was Urban’s idea — to name the baby after arts patron Sunday Reed.
"And we went, ‘Oh, we love that day’ — that’s our favorite day because I think there’s something to do with Sundays where, if you’re lonely, Sundays are a very lonely day," Kidman said. "And if you’re happy and you’ve got your family and the things around you, then Sunday’s a beautiful day. So our baby’s called Sunday."
Kidman has said she never thought she could give birth. She was stunned when she found out she was pregnant. She’s even joked that the water she and other female "Australia" actresses swam in had some magic powers. "I call her a miracle baby because it was a miracle that I, at this age, had spent so many years trying to get [pregnant], just thought, ‘Well, it’s not my path — that’s not what I’m going to get to experience.’"
Kidman attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards Monday night at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Click here to see wOw’s slideshow of the event.
"Three and a half years ago I had a wonderful career, I had two kids, I had movie offers, great directors offering me things, but I wasn’t loved,” she told the crowd, according to People.
“Three and a half years ago a man came along and said, ‘I’m going to take you to Tennessee.’ And he took me down there and he said, ‘I think you deserve to be loved. Let me love you, let me give you a home and let’s make a baby.’ So thank you, Keith Lionel."
Kidman received the Glamour award in part for her work on behalf of the UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM). She’s currently the face of their "Say No to Violence" campaign, an online petition protesting crimes against women.
"We just want everyone to sign on," Kidman told People. "We need as many signatures as we can get before we present it to the UN on November 25 so then we can go to the world and say, ‘Here, we can implement change, laws can be upheld.’ It’s to protect women and keep them safe around the world — not just in America but around the world.”
