O.J. Simpson Found Guilty of Armed Robbery; Faces Life in Prison

By The Staff of wowOwow.com
AP

Thirteen years ago to the day, OJ Simpson was found not guilty in the murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. But in the early hours of the morning in a Nevada courtroom, the man who came to symbolize both the corrosive effect of celebrity on the criminal justice system and the frayed edges of race relations in this country, was found guilty of 12 charges that ranged from kidnapping to armed robbery.  The charges stemmed from a September 2007 incident where Simpson and accomplice Clarance Stewart broke into a Las Vegas hotel room, brandishing weapons and demanding the surrender of Simpson collectibles from a pair of professional sports memorabilia dealers.

Both men were found guilty of all 12 charges and face a miniumum of 20+ years in prison.  Simpson was remanded to jail, where he will remain without bail until his sentencing on December 5th.

More important….the Alaska Supreme Court is hearing an appeal to not release the results of Palin’s Troopergate investigation next week because it it could be McCain’s “October Surprise.” As everyone has so eloquently [ha] stated about the OJ case, Karma’s a bitch. And the GOP has massive amounts of it coming. Hope the AK Supreme Court does the right thing and allows Troopergate to fly free. Isn’t that what the GOP is all about? Let the market decide? What are they afraid of? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/04/alaska-supreme-court-take_n_131…

I’m so stunned that people believe in Karma. Did Nicole and Ron deserve what they received? What OJ received was justice this time based on natural consequences. Karma means that what happens to you is what you deserve.

Karma can be a cop-out…relieving people of accountability for their actions.

Karma means that what happens to you is what you deserve.” Sort of but not quite. When I use the word Karma, I mean it in a universal justice system type way; but not every incident that occurs to someone is necessarily karmic. (Or, if you want to get REALLY philosophic, it could be that everything that happens to someone is Karma for things they may have done in a PAST life. But who’s to know?) There are many different interpretations of it but do not presume for a minute that because I believe OJ’s recent sentencing is his karma, that I think the people he murdered deserved to be murdered.

I could not believe that someone would write this stuff on this site. Guess I am too naive still.
