O.J. Simpson Found Guilty of Armed Robbery; Faces Life in Prison

Thirteen years ago to the day, OJ Simpson was found not guilty in the murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. But in the early hours of the morning in a Nevada courtroom, the man who came to symbolize both the corrosive effect of celebrity on the criminal justice system and the frayed edges of race relations in this country, was found guilty of 12 charges that ranged from kidnapping to armed robbery. The charges stemmed from a September 2007 incident where Simpson and accomplice Clarance Stewart broke into a Las Vegas hotel room, brandishing weapons and demanding the surrender of Simpson collectibles from a pair of professional sports memorabilia dealers.
Both men were found guilty of all 12 charges and face a miniumum of 20+ years in prison. Simpson was remanded to jail, where he will remain without bail until his sentencing on December 5th.
