Well, put. (Although I do have to wonder what you have against the good people of Arizona!)

Well said, Mugsy. And Joan, please accept my apology for the crack about not trusting you because you look like Laura Bush.

To teach our children that debate, differnces of opinion and rspect for others is admirable. Happy Birthday to you Senator McCain. Interesting pick with Gov. Palan. She’s no Hillary Clinton—-just a polar opposite in views —-who happens to be a female., and someone we will get to know and hear much more about. This will stir things up. Meanwhile Happy Birthday sir. Please keep reaching across the aisle.

I like McCain. I wish him happiness and health in whatever he does. His choice for vice president is interesting…he chose someone no one else might have, and is obviously trying to reach voters that he otherwise might not have. We all have opinions.

in 2000 i liked mccain. but since then he has retreated on every stance that made him a maverick. and now he acts like a comic book character in choosing a vice presidential candidate who is in no way ready for the job and whose family values demonstrate why women need birth control access as well as sex education in high school and first trimester access to legal, safe abortion.
