Palin Headed to Georgia's Campaign Trail

Sarah Palin just can’t quit campaigning!

Though her last trip on the trail ended in failure, the Alaska governor will head to Georgia next week to rally troops for Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss. Chambliss and his Democratic rival, Jim Martin, have been locked in a run-off contest since the election earlier this month.

Palin, who’s enormously popular among party peers, will appear at four events across the state on Monday, the day before the December 2 run-off. This fight’s extremely important for both parties, because if Martin wins, the Democrats will be closer to securing the filibuster-proof 60-seat mark. Chambliss couldn’t be more happy about Mrs. Palin’s backing, of course, and told the press, "I was thrilled when I got the call that Gov. Palin would be able to make the trip to Georgia to campaign with me the day before the run-off election."

Rudy Giuliani has also headed down to work for Chambliss’s reelection. Something tells us, however, the former New York mayor won’t be as big a draw as Palin. Shoot, even if you don’t like the woman, who wouldn’t want to see her speak?

I can’t believe there are still people stupid enough to vote for anybody this woman would recommend.

I think the Dems should just shut up & let her “open mouth & insert foot”. IMO, she can be her own worst enemy.

Will we ever hear the end of that screechy whiny voice or those incoherent babblings? I think not.

Frank, I was infuriated with this news of That Woman going to Georgia to campaign for Chambliss. Don’t you remember him? He is the SOB who managed to stay out of military himself, but castigated Max Cleland for “being weak against terrorists”. Max Cleland, the war hero who left 3 limbs behind when he served in Viet Nam. If Sarah Palin is shirking her duties as a governor in order to campaign for this pariah, I have lost any little respect I had for her, which wasn’t much in the first place. The things he said about Cleland were unforgivable. http://community.adn.com/adn/node/135064

She should take Coulter and Hasselback with her. That’s a show I’d watch.

Whoops! She just put the nail in the coffin for Saxby Chambliss…..and the winner is……The Democrat! The moment she opens her mouth and begins speaking from her “own speech” anyone who was even remotely considering voting Republican will do as they did with Obama, and vote Democrat.

Oh my, I was kinda hoping we wouldn’t be hearing about her again for awhile, especially after the turkey debacle. Saxby better watch his neck. That woman’s not only a danger to herself but to everyone and everything she comes in contact with.

Isn’t Sen. Saxby Chambliss the guy whose campaign ad McCain criticized as “worse than disgraceful” and “reprehensible” during his 2002 race against then-Sen. Max Cleland? Then just about a week ago McCain, and now Palin go to Georgia to campaign FOR him. Well, let’s hope the people of Georgia have had their fill of all 3 of them.

DeB, The fact that anyone would go and campaign for this person is reprehensible, as far as I’m concerned. He is the one who called Max Cleland a weakling, in good Karl Rove style. Max Cleland has always been such a great example of rising above all the horrors that life can bring some people; in this case losing 3 limbs because of the VietNam war, just to be chastised by this Chambliss and being called “weak.” The fact that Palin, Guiliani, or anyone else that would campaign for this guy has made me lose any little respect I ever had for them. http://community.adn.com/adn/node/135064

It mostly says a lot about McCain that HE campaigned for this man.
