Pam Grier Is Foxy as Ever (Video)

Actress Pam Grier sat down with wowOwow to talk about her new made-for-TV movie, "Ladies of the House," relationships, "Foxy Brown" and Quentin Tarantino. Read on for this and more. "Ladies of the House" premieres on the Hallmark Channel Saturday, October 18 at 9 PM EST.
wOw: In your new made-for-television movie, "Ladies of the House," premiering October 18th on the Hallmark Channel, your character struggles to find happiness with her husband after so many years of marriage. What drew you to this role?
Pam Grier: My boyfriend and I discussed it and we both saw that this story was really a love story about relationships, that through the renovation of the house our characters (these women) are able to explore their relationships with the men in their lives. In life, everybody needs to take the time to really look at relationships — re-evaluate them — and renovating a house is the perfect metaphor for that.

wOw: Throughout "Ladies of the House," you and your co-stars, Florence Henderson and Donna Mills, have a strong bond and become each other’s support system through the difficult times in your lives. Is there one person or group you turn to during your times of need?
PG: No, I would scare them off!!!
wOw: In the ’70s you became a huge star, starring in such films as "Foxy Brown," "The Big Bird Cage" and "The Hit Man." How did it feel to be so in demand?
PG: I didn’t get much sleep but it was very flattering.
wOw: In 1997 you made a triumphant comeback starring in "Jackie Brown," directed by Quentin Tarantino. What was it like working with him?
PG: I want to have all of his children – the man is brilliant.
wOw: Is there any actor, actress or director that you want to work with?
PG: Meryl Streep and Judi Dench.
wOw: And who was your favorite person to work with?
PG: It’s hard to say just one person because there’s a multitude of actors — each one is so different.
wOw: Currently, you’re part of a strong ensemble cast in the Showtime hit, "The L Word." What is it like starring on this controversial show and playing a character who’s experimenting with her sexuality?
PG: The show isn’t controversial; at least it shouldn’t be because it’s really the basic examination of society’s sexuality — we should be open to that.
wOw: Have you ever had any dreams of leaving Hollywood? And if it is not acting what is your dream job?
PG: Being Warren Buffett.
wOw: Having a hit show on Showtime and being part of famous shows in the past, such as a "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," what can someone find on your TiVo? What is on your must-see TV list?
PG: I’ve been so busy, my TiVo is still in the box. My must-see TV list — besides “Two and Half Men” — is “The L Word.”
wOw: Fellow "Ladies of the House" cast member Florence Henderson has recently been on reality shows such as "The Surreal Life," "My Fair Brady," "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and "Weakest Link." With reality television being such a huge phenomenon right now, are there any casts you’d want to join?
PG: I can’t think of any but my own reality show would be interesting — living on a ranch with my all horses and dogs.
wOw: Why did you choose to leave L.A. and move to a ranch?
PG: I have never lived in Los Angeles permanently. I have always stayed in Wyoming and Colorado — that’s where home is.
wOw: There have been no reports of any romantic linkings about you recently. Is there someone special in your life right now?
PG: I try and keep my personal life very private.
