Paris Hilton for President? Paris Responds to John McCain Ad With Her Own Campaign Video

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

In a 30-second campaign ad that debuted last week, McCain mocked Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama’s image as a media star by flashing pictures of tabloid staples Paris Hilton and Britney Spears in the opening shots. This didn’t go over too well with the hotel heiress or her family, who have donated thousands of dollars to the Republican’s campaign.

According the the New York Daily News, Kathy Hilton donated $2,300 to McCain for the primary, the maximum allowed by law, as did her husband, Richard Hilton. Paris’s grandfather also sent McCain $2,300 for both the primary and the general election.

In response to the McCain video, Hilton snaps back with her own fake commercial hosted on FunnyOrDie.com. While wearing a leopard swimsuit in the video, she calls the 71-year-old senator a "wrinkly," "old," "white-haired dude," announces her plan to solve the energy crisis and also shares how she thinks, if she is elected president, she’ll paint the White House pink.

That’s hot.

Spot on Margorie—“all things given you’d expect Obama to be 15-20 points ahead instead of only slightly ahead or within the margin of error”—Obama can’t seal the deal and I think what Bonnie predicted will happen—I always did—Hillary and her supporters are going to “blow the roof off” that convention.

Lady Gator—Pelosi et al will pay dearly for this insane blunder. They just handed a golden opportunity to the Republicans—lets just hope McCain knows how to use it. Not only could this issue and Pelosi’s misstep help McCain, she could jeopardize some Dem house seats by forcing these guys to explain to their constituents why they did not resolve this before the recess. The house Republicans have a lot of public support with this drilling issue and they are handling it superbly. 70% of the American people are for domestic drilling. Now Obama has chimed in and said he will support offshore drilling as well—why do think he has changed his mind? Because he, like McCain knows that this issue is hot and they had better be on the right side of it in November. Fortunately for McCain, he was the first to flip and support off shore drilling when the pressure of high prices hit. Obama’s too late pile on looks like the political pandering that it is.

Nice to ‘see’ you Eleanor, hope all is well with you. Other than to say nice vid, I’ll happily stay out of this one.

70% are pro drilling? What is the source of these statistics?

Supporting offshore oil drilling IS NOT CHANGE. It is MORE OF THE SAME.

absolutely, deburca. but the sun already shines and the wind already blows. maybe that’s what some of the people who want “a manhattan project for energy” have in mind.

I’m all for wind and solar power. They’re doing it in Germany and Iceland to name two places off the top of my head.

I agree, De Burca, that Paris has it backwards in terms of which plan is likely to carry the other. The offshore drilling will take 15 years or so to really have an effect, whereas Obama’s plans to incentivize automakers to produce hybrid vehicles - and customers who buy them - will probably have a solid impact within 5 years. Still, Paris is actually quite foresighted in her opinion that pursuing all options right now will probably steer the nation to a clearer solution, rather than the candidates’ seeming contention that it’s an either/or proposition. McCain scored in the polls by beating Obama to the punch in the early-summer energy propaganda, but Obama landed a right cross this week with his incentive-laden plan for automakers & auto buyers.

Agreed. I also think the oil reserve should be tapped for immediate help. They’ve done it before and it has helped. I think that’s part of Obama’s plan too.

Then that darn McCain pointed out that he had voted with the energy companies.
