Paris Hilton for President? Paris Responds to John McCain Ad With Her Own Campaign Video

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

In a 30-second campaign ad that debuted last week, McCain mocked Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama’s image as a media star by flashing pictures of tabloid staples Paris Hilton and Britney Spears in the opening shots. This didn’t go over too well with the hotel heiress or her family, who have donated thousands of dollars to the Republican’s campaign.

According the the New York Daily News, Kathy Hilton donated $2,300 to McCain for the primary, the maximum allowed by law, as did her husband, Richard Hilton. Paris’s grandfather also sent McCain $2,300 for both the primary and the general election.

In response to the McCain video, Hilton snaps back with her own fake commercial hosted on FunnyOrDie.com. While wearing a leopard swimsuit in the video, she calls the 71-year-old senator a "wrinkly," "old," "white-haired dude," announces her plan to solve the energy crisis and also shares how she thinks, if she is elected president, she’ll paint the White House pink.

That’s hot.

All that stuff about tires, speed limits, and keeping the car tuned—good advice. But I think the pt is that this must be part of an overall plan. the little tire gauge thing has probably helped people to think about this more—which is good. As for alternative energy—this is also part or should be—and drilling. But the oil companies—now called ENERGY cos, notice—will be doing it. If you take away their profits, less wind research, etc. It’s all interconnected.

Star - Yes, I agree. The CEO of Shell Oil appeared on the Charlie Rose Show a few months ago. He emphasized the fact that Shell Oil is now considered an energy producing company versus the previous oil producing. We shall see. Anyway, I did have a question for you if you don’t mind. Do you perchance know of any other website that is political but the participants are not antagonistic in their remarks to other bloggers? I am looking for a place where political debate may take place but in a civil manner. I think wOw has interesting discussions in relationship to the arts and I hope to continue here with those discussions.

Bonnie ——Try Human Events. com. —-Town Hall.com — Grassfire. Com - Newsmax.Com —— just to name a few. There are a FEW nasty people on there, however, your comments will be well received by most. Try these — if they aren’t what you’re looking for, let me know, I’ll see if I can find a few more. In trying to make a decision I have been on several ——on both sides of the political arena. I also started listening to talk radio from both sides. Glad I did — cleared up so many questions I had. But, please don’t go away from here. Your posts are great — don’t leave me alone out here in the wilderness!!

Lady Gator—You are right—TownHall is a good site—I often read the articles there, but have not read the comments—have you ever commented on there? I am curious as to the atmosphere much like Bonnie is talking about. Bonnie, I wholeheartedly agree with Lady Gator—your posts are invaluable to this site—Just like Lady Gator’s!! I will also check out your suggestions—Thanks LG.

Lady G - Thank you so much. I will investigate these new websites (new to me) over the next day or so. No, I shall not leave you alone in the wilderness; at least, not without warning. Your post yesterday about Cindy McCain was simply wonderful - straightforward and concise. When I think of some of the dreadful posts that have been levied about her by some of the Obama supporters who blog here at wOw….well, I am happy to think that I am in excellent company with her and with you, Eleanor and the rest of the “toxic crowd” …which is the new name with which we have been christened by some of those loyalist to Obama. One of those loyalist to Obama left about 20 email messages after I suggested that we ignore each other’s postings. But, she insists on posting on the “reply” button instead of positing directly to the comment section. (I simply deleted everything without reading) And, as a result, I now have a clearer understanding of what it feels like to be stalked by a fanatical person. Yes, I am definitely looking for another website.

Bonnie, you are implying here that I sent you a harrassing number of e-mails. I don’t HAVE your e-mail address. You just automatically get an e-mail alert when someone responds to your posts. If you don’t want e-mail alerts turn it off. The fact is, my posts were all responses to your posts, mostly the ones referring to me, things you said ABOUT me. But to imply that I was “harrassing” you is very misleading and actually a form of harrassment in itself. Everyone in here is free to respond to any post in here, and especially the ones directed to them or about them.

Bonnie I am linking you a couple of sites, one is just a list of women’s websites. Another is the Independent Women’s Forum, although it doesn’t seem like there is much activity. Do you feel followed. That happens to me sometimes. Just have to ignore it. I think it is okay for you to get mad, everyone gets mad here at times. You are a great addition to this site, you have worked hard not to upset people, and have held even discussions. I always appreciate how you stand and express your views. http://www.indexoftheweb.com/Women.htm http://www.iwf.org/inkwell/

Hi Frannie Em - Thank you. I will check them out as I am checking out the sites listed by Lady Gator and a few others. I will let you know. As for the Sheila Nevins poem, I am printing out a copy and will think about it some more. I am fascinated by the poem but have seem to lost the enthusiasm to exam it more closely. However, I will post on that thread or look to see if you have by week’s end.

Hi Bonnie, Yes, I have lost the energy for that at this time, although Adam and Eve have been mentioned on threads now and again. It is interesting. She got it on all of our brains.

what the campaign to drill offshore hides is that 90% of the onshore oil leases over real oil puddles are not drilled. what does that tell you?
By mary lou s on 08/08/2008 9:06 pm
Bonnie Oliver
There is some debate about the amount, if any, oil could be located beneath current onshore property with oil leases in hand. The question about oil from shale is apparently non-debatable. I don’t know the answer. The “experts” disagree. I do know that many wells are generally dug (hundreds) before an actual gusher is located. I think folks who love the land are no more inclined to have hundreds of wells dug there then are the offshore opponents happy with ocean drilling. It is a problem.

Wow, I almost find it difficult to detest her now - I’ve never heard her use SO many words longer than five letters before! And how depressing is it that she’s making more rational sense than anything I’ve heard on both sides. I’d probably vote for her, especially with Rihanna as VP. Hahahahaha….

Kryssi–––––would love to hear your take on the irrational sides of both candidates. Let’s not get hyperbolic here. It was a clever ad delivered by Paris Hilton who may surprise us with the fact that she can talk, but gee, would you really want the White house to be pink?

Phyllis - The rap musician Ludicrous has a song out saying if Obama wins they are going to paint the White House black. He also was insulting to Senator Clinton and added that the only chair Senator McCain should be sitting in is a wheelchair due to parallysis. He is a cretin but Senator Obama, though he criticized the lyrics of this latest rap, he will not criticize the musician. This is very similar to the Reverend Wright disaster inasmuch as Senator Obama has previously praised the rapper. These stories are what are scaring many Americans. Painting the White House pink? Americans just laugh.

Bonnie, please stop the nonsense. Please understand this…we are taught to hate the sin, but not the sinner. Sen. Obama vehemently detest the unsavory words of both Ludicrous and Wright. I agree with him. Now please tell me why it makes you laugh that Paris will paint the White House pink, but you have much reservation with Obama painting the White House black. Just asking.
