Ann Coulter's Birthday Wish for Bush (and a Michael-Moore-Free Definition of Patriotism)

By Ann Coulter
Being really proud of America whether your husband is running for president or not. You know how Michael Moore feels about America? It’s the exact opposite of that.

In response to "Sunday is President George W. Bush’s birthday. On this 4th of July, do you have any special birthday wishes for him?"

Thanks for not letting Muslim terrorists kill me this past seven-and-a-half years. I owe you one, big guy. Don’t think of it as getting older; think of it as your birthday cake’s carbon footprint getting bigger!

Click here to read birthday wishes for the president from Sheila Nevins, Marlo Thomas and more.

Editor’s Note: Ann Coulter is a political commentator, syndicated columnist and best-selling author. Her latest book is If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans.

Ms. Georgia - Come back more often! I have so enjoyed your comments. I’m thinking it’s not a reverse face lift as much at it may be a reverse spirit switch. She has a spirit for……uh, starting to feel ill. A spirit for….errruppp. I just can’t do it….. When I think about our country right now I want to curl up in a ball and sing the blues…If only I knew how to play the sax!

Ugh… and I would add Ma Raney to that! My mother took us to see Ma Raney in Memphis, Tn. and I will never forget that experience!

What a nice kind “compassionate democrat” spirit you have. Ann is great looking. How do you look?

I Love Money And Money Loves Me
Ann Coulter is great looking if you have no taste, no soul, and you like hateful blondes who look like they do drugs for breakfast.

I do not like George W Bush and I do not like Ann Coulter. She is a ‘mean girl’. I do not like people who are so condesending.

Hateful? Destructive? Abominable? No. Hilarious? Yes. As Kathy Griffin said, “She’s the radical right’s fantasy girl.” Thanks, Ann. I wouldn’t want them fantasizing about me. :)

First time I have to disagree with you Kitty. She is all of the above.

Hi Carol, Thanks for your comment. I find it much more effective to laugh at someone than to argue, but I hear your sentiment, and you have many here who agree with you. As Beth says, Peace and grace.

Hi, Kitty, I usually agree with your comments, but I think in this case, Ann Coulter is no laughing matter. I think there is a line that, when it is crossed, cuts through what our country and our lst amendment rights stand for. Coulter and her various counterparts are not journalists, but self serving publicity seekers. This is not what our soldiers have died for in all the wars. They will do anything sensational to create a stir, no matter how indecent and how destructive their comments are, or how false for that matter. I gave up on Limbaugh years ago when he started referring to career women as femi-nazis. When I turn on Fox and they happen to be on, I can just flip the channel to something else. I never expected to see the likes of Coulter on this website; perhaps the powers-that-be just wanted to stir up a lively discussion. There are certain actions we cannot laugh at, and I realize it everytime I go to the Holocaust Museum and look at the first group of exhibits dealing with the press/media in the 1920’s, and it makes me think of this bunch every time. And, there are people in this country that take them very seriously. By the way, I am also p.o’d with the NYTimes online in the today issue because the cover story is Rush Limbaugh.

Thanks for your opinion, Diana.

Diana T Both sides of the media have extremists. Have you ever listened to Air America? Here on this site you are able to comment about her and what you think about her methods, and she may read it. I doubt if it would have an effect, but this form gives you a little more power. I am glad you said what you said. She has reaped a lot of trouble for shooting off her mouth so negatively. I can laugh at that.

You know, Frannie, you may have a great Primetime programming idea. Let’s lock Ann Coulter and Randi Rhodes in a room and televise it pay-per-view. Sort of a political cat fight to the death.
