Is Paula Abdul so freaked out by the apparent suicide of her obsessed fan near her Beverly Hills home last week that she’s considering leaving "American Idol"?

According to OK! magazine Abdul is planning to leave the show.

Abdul has been a judge on the talent show since its beginning seven years ago and has since enjoyed a wave of success with fellow judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. But since the death of Paula Goodspeed — who was ridiculed by the judges in 2005 after a terrible "Idol" audition — Abdul has been "shocked and saddened," a rep tells the New York Post. The Post also reports that a source says Abdul feels like she’s being "haunted" by Goodspeed’s spirit. However, Abdul’s rep shot the poltergeist rumors down — saying that Paula’s "heart and prayers go out to the Goodspeed family."

But after reading the following recent report, it would be no surprise if Paula is a wee bit spooked:

People reports that Goodspeed may have sent flowers to Abdul just days before she was found dead in her car. The flowers came with a note that read: "Hope you’re doing great. Here’s my new cell number." The card was signed, "Love, J.T." Abdul immediately assumed the flowers came from boyfriend J.T. Torregiani, People reports. When Abdul called her restaurant-owner boyfriend asking him about the new number, J.T. responded that he had no idea what the singer was talking about. It then dawned on Paula who may have really sent the flowers: Paula Goodspeed.
