A Recycled Cell Phone and the Same Old Advertising Story (Video)

This week in the Buzz Report, the Gadget of the Week is a carbon-neutral cell phone – it’s made out of recycled plastic bottles, it comes in recycled packaging, it’s cute, it’s small and it’s green — literally and environmentally.

Also, I took a look at the most-popular and most-viewed Super Bowl ads, and frankly, it just depressed me. Really? Boob jokes and crotch shots? Still? All that and the week’s tech news right here:

lily tomlin looked great on the tribute to george carlin the other night on pbs…..i’m going to write you somtime and send you a sample print (from mississippi 30 plus years ago) in hopes that you (lily) will send me an 8x10 autograph picture……what are my chances …..let me guess no better than 100-1…..so if you want to pre-empt me lily send it on and i will mail you something for sure…..and not to be confused with bugging you as i have a lot of people bugging me on a daily basis so i know (kinda know) a little bit about time and private things…..again you did great and its always a high for me to see you back on the screen…..take care and have a great 2009….tommy lee brown……

I’m all for a “green” cell phone for all the reasons we should all be thinking green….but this one looks a bit clunky. I’m going to hold off until they are a bit thinner….

I simply love the idea and look forward to when they have more of the features that I require as a Realtor… Just wait, they will be commonplace within 2-3 years.
