Rosie O. Analyzes 'Angry' Ann Coulter

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Rosie O’Donnell may have started a fresh feud. The entertainer, who’s known for publicly blasting other celebrities, took to the radio waves yesterday and lashed out at Ann Coulter. Chatting on Sirius/XM’s "Whatever with Alexis and Jennifer," O’Donnell offered her own analysis of the right-wing writer, who O’Donnell views as akin to inhuman.

She’s angry if you ask me. She’s full of rage. When you see someone like that, you have to go back to what happened in their childhood … You don’t know what went on in their household. Sometimes people with very controversial views, there is some part of their humanity that you can relate to. Even though they think differently than you do, you can still reach them as a human being, but she’s not one of them for me.

Asked whether she thinks Coulter’s ink-grabbing actions are simply for show, O’Donnell insisted, "I don’t think it is a show. The passion from which she spews it … It’s deep-seeded. It’s bizarre." For better or for worse, we’re sure Coulter will have something to say about that.

Donald, know thyself. Your words are coming off as angry and emotional. Why are you putting your entire post in caps? Are you shouting?

I think any woman who is paying attention to what’s going on in the world has some measure of inner rage. However, I think some of it is neurotic and self-centered, as in Ann Coulter’s case, and used as a vehicle to sell books. Also, I agree with Tee Zee, that something seems to be going on in our culture where we have forgotten how to take responsibility for our own behavior and communicate with respect. I think we need to take the high road whenever possible. This is what will separate us from the Ann Coulter’s of the world.

Susan Gabriel: I may have the answer to your question about what is going on in our culture. It is called the internet, email, text messaging, facebook, myspace etc. Young people, especially, have been raised to communicate by these measures. Consequently many social skills are becoming obsolete because of it. It is very easy to pound the keyboard in rage in response to a post you don’t like. Take the keyboard away and respond to that person face to face would bring a much more civilized response. People are out of control because they cannot be held accountable for their language and rage on the internet. Communicating by these measures has changed who we are. People fly off the handle by the way “they read” something. Since we no longer have the luxury of hearing the “tone” of voice, we often times read posts in an angry tone when, in fact, it wasn’t written that way. Why are people rude to other people on blogs? Because they can get away with it. The meek can become more powerful and the bullies can bully and intimate. After all, we often times don’t even know who we are talking to. Obama ran an interesting campaign because he knew where to find people….especially young people. He went to them via their communication methods. He got into their world and got his message out. He won the election.

To respond to your post, deber, in regards to blogging in disguise , therefore being able to say things one would probably not say in person. I agree, and this is why WOW has been so gratifying for so many of us who have gotten to know each other. We are truly like a large family where love-ins, feuds, recriminations, sharing of intimate details, and so forth are all part of this site. So because we have gotten to know one another in this way we tend to be caring and if not caring at least we know who we are sparing with. Makes a big difference.

I DO BELIEVE THAT THIS ISSUE BY YOU LIBERALS, OF ANN COULTER SELLING HER BOOKS, SHOWS ALOT OF ENVY. LIBERAL WOULD LIKE TO SELL BOOKS TO, BUT THOSE WHO HAVE TRIED, FOUND THAT NO ONE WANTED TO READ THEIR LEFT WING SOCIALIST DRIBBLE. CASES IN POINT: HC & HEREIT TAKES AVILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILDMOST OF THE BOOKS WERE GIVEN AWAY TO LIBERAL ORGANIZATIONS TO DISTRIBUTE FREE. ???????????????? CASE IN POINT: PELOSI’S BOOK WAS NUMBER1059 ON THE BEST SELLER LIST THE LAST I SAW. A REAL BARN BURNER SELLER????????????

Mr. Duck, you are assuming a great deal when you think your subject matter is even worth discussing. How about the questions I asked you a few posts back. Try those on for size. What you have say in response might even make sense. I dare you.

Donald, who do you think you are talking to? Most of us are grandmothers. Do you think your God would approve of you talking so disrespectively to your elders? Most of us are well beyond our child rearing years, we’ve lived a long life and don;t appreciate being talked to so hatefully. If ;you can’t be respectful why don’t you find some place populated by hateful people like you?

I just find it so funny that Rosie O is critiquing Ann C. It is probably the same critique that Ann C would give about Rosie O. LOL. She could have written that paragraph about herself. LOL. They are opposite ends of the same stick.

Where you are wrong is that, though they surely have opposite viewpoints, they’re not on the same stick. Rosie O’Donnell is not courted by the Democrats or invited to air her opinions on political shows as a political expert or pundit, etc. She is a celebrity, comedienne, actress and talk show host, with an opinion, that’s it. Whereas, Coulter is a regular guest on shows such as Hannity, were she is treated as some sort of political expert or pundit, and is even invited to speak at Conservative Conventions (I think that is where she called John Edwards a “fag”) and writes books that peddle her brand of anger and negative input. Coulter has a bigger effect on our society.
