Sarah Palin Attacks Press Over Bristol Baby Rumors

Sarah Palin’s assault on the media continues!
The Alaska governor, who last month accused Tina Fey and Katie Couric of exploiting her, spoke to Esquire this week and took on her local paper’s ongoing speculation that her son, Trig, actually belongs to her daughter, who gave birth to a baby of her own in December: "I’ll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig’s real mom. And I thought, ‘OK, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism.’"
Blogs began speculating that Trig was Bristol’s son last year. Speaking of Bristol, Palin also explained the origin of her daughter’s name: Bristol of … Connecticut. "When I was in high school, my desire was to be a sportscaster. Until I learned that you’d have to move to Bristol, CT. It was far away. So instead, I had a daughter and named her Bristol." It’s a good thing that sportscaster job wasn’t in Looneyville, TX!
Meanwhile, in other Sarah Palin-related news, the governor came out today against President Obama’s stimulus package. There had been speculation this week that she intended to support it, but the lawmaker made clear that, while she believes we need a stimulus, she’s "against increased federal programs that will become a state’s unfunded mandate to continue funding for generations."
