Sarah Palin Says: Tomorrow, Barack Obama Is My President

Conservative talk-show host Glenn Beck kicks off his new show on Fox News with an interview with Sarah Palin

Fox News

Looking noticeably thinner and even more glamorous than she did on the campaign trail, Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin appeared on the first episode of the new Glenn Beck show on Fox News.

Beck, a conservative radio host, left his show on CNN’s Headline News in 2008 for the bigger venue of Fox News, and his new show débuted at the five o’clock hour the day before the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.

Telling Gov. Palin that she was "one hot grandma," Beck asked Palin, "Is Barack Obama your president tomorrow?" To which the former vice-presidential candidate replied, "Absolutely. I am proud of our country. We are all Americans, and united we stand."(updated 8:30)

The governor, whose new baby is afflicted with Down syndrome, was asked by a caller — who also is a parent of a Down syndrome child — if her new child had changed her perspective on special-needs kids. Palin enthusiastically replied that her new son was the best thing that had ever happened to her family and that she was sure that, in the end, she would learn more from her son Trig than he would ever learn from her.

Hi Marjorie, Yes, we did take notice. It was a difficult choice, however, our decision to leave it up is because of the context in which it was written.

thank you—-having black sons-in-law, grandchildren, i’m not too keen on being termed ‘racist’—-i wonder—-was the lady gassed at Oxford Mississippi, Berkley? her remorseless Reep stance seems to match her reading skills—-i can’t think of using the ‘n-word’ in my life, prior to that post—-yet i felt, for ‘reader-impact’ it appropriate—-i expected ‘heat’ from ms.m.—-or others—-and appreciate your literary skill—-and understanding i used ‘common’ terms, still rampant, to illustrate—-

I am sorry your grandchild encounters such ignorance, from peers and teachers I taught for over 35 years..one thing I told students is with DNA that can now trace ALL humans back to one woman in Africa. One kid asked, joking, “does that mean we are all black?” I said “yes, some of us are just lighter than others” There is no such thing as “traitor of race” feel sorry for such stupid people

i try—-they are not stupid, programmed-from-youth—-there is a difference——and teachers define the population’s future—-hence of perhaps ‘Greatest’ social need—-i noted a 4th grade teacher asking me of breakfast—-‘Oat-meal/w/raisens and milk’.—-she said, ‘you eat that mush?’ it was decades before i returned to oatmeal—- ‘early events persist’—-that is the prime principal of cognitive, all ‘talk-therapy’. i ask, is a ‘professor, greater pay, respect’ any socially important vs. the ‘earlier’ ‘common’ teachers, which they inherit? the earlier is far more important—-so where should funding go? to the early, or late? you know—-are you paid properly? No—- but you may not blame them, as ‘disorder’ has been shown a property of mass—-yet as ‘Fish-Meal’ in Moby Dick—-seems ‘i alone have escaped to tell thee’. but such it is—-so the most important of academics are the earliest, not the last—-that means You—-right? good luck on fair recognition/pay—-you exist in a ‘field’ (in physics simply ‘area-of-influence’) of ‘disorder’, you haven’t noticed? i think you have.

funny..I sit here eating my oatmeal, raisins and WALNUTS….as I read this…(it has become my breakfast of choice since a weight loss program a few years ago..lost 30 lbs..knew it was good for my cholesterol, an inherited problem, found my cravings decreased..learned it regulated insulin…I now believe it is the BEST breakfast: economical, good-for-you) You see the damage a teacher can do..it is so tricky..we are, after all, only human, too…but I think we should subscribe to the doctor’s oath ..”first do no harm…”. The majority of teachers are good, caring people. but my children and I have all encountered bad ones..the trick is to work around them, get past them..(it was a poor HS teacher who was the catalyst in my switiching careers..from math to language) I am technically retired after 33 years of teaching full time..I still do subbing, tutoring, classes for teachers…when I started teacher pay was very low, I was part of the fight in the 70’s to increase the pay in our state…now it is time to do it again. by the end of my career I was paid pretty well. Although I am certified to teach N-12 (nursery school thorough HS…and the HS certification is in Spanish) ,I mainly taught HS Spanish. It has become a valuable skill. currently I am tutoring a man from another country in English, to improve his language skills for his job. Last week I also read bilingual poems to a Pre-k class. that was pretty sweet! I do courses on “Spanish for Educators” in our county and also have done workshops for school nurses and school secretaries. they are all “needs-based” courses. Since elementary school I have communicated with people in other countries, starting with a cousin in England. It really broadened my horizons. as for your grandchild..he/she needs to be taught a simple, quiet response…perhaps with some humor..like “I am what I am, and that’s all that I am” (who said that? Popeye? LOL) There are some things that are out of our control….or..”ok…I’ll go back and pick different parents..ha ha” good luck and God bless

LOL. THANK YOU Dutch. I have preached that “We are all African!” DNA truth on this site several times. Keep spreading it around. It is actually true. The mitochondrial DNA is traced to Nigeria. Just beautiful! It is such a revelation!

you are welcome, dear! there are some who would deny truth. there are some who just don’t know….they do not have a broad perspective. I was just thinking this morning about the African-American students who did not strive for good grades because it was “acting white” I however could tell them “what about the good students in Africa? when I was in high school I had a penpal in Nigeria..a good student, soccer player…Joseph Chukuma Ikwegbu….what about him?” Like the white “Christians” who were racist…do they think Jesus was Caucasian? we are all only human

Gully: They also don’t realize that they’ve already had 8 years of Sarah Palin in the form of Georgie Bush.

rock and a hard place? i would consider neither bush or palin sane—-the problem seems, ‘how does anyone?’ while you ‘may not fool all the people, all the time’—-seems not to apply—-‘fooling enough may do—-

Ummm…… Belinda, you need to watch the interview and not read everything you believe. Sarah Palin NEVER said that “race will never be an issue after tomorrow” What Gov. Palin said was, “as of tomorrow Color will never be a barrier henceforth” and this is a totally true statement as Obama has broken the color barried for the highest office in the land. Now who will break the barrier for women?
