A Sarah Palin-Hillary Clinton Catfight? Liz Smith Explains on FOX News (Video)

What’s this about a Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton brawl? Even if Sarah Palin doesn’t become America’s next vice president, she’s not going anywhere. She’s a strong cookie — just look at how she held her own against Joe Biden at the VP debate. In fact, Palin’s claws may come out again in a catfight between her and Hillary …

Carol, Chris Buckley has been disillusioned because of what has become of the Republican party. He is a centrist-conservative and feels the party has been hijacked and he no longer recognizes it. Click on the following link and you can read what he wrote 2 years ago: http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2006/0610.buckley.html

Lucinda, I will check it out. But in some ways I think Bill would have liked Obama and would have invited him on his show and to his many dinners. Many of his dearest friends were Dems. That’s what I loved about the guy.

Carol, I agree with you. Bill was a charming and intelligent fellow who enjoyed and was enjoyed by a wide variety of people.

Julie Nixon Eisenhower has endorsed Obama. So has her in-law, Susan Eisenhower. Quite a few Republicans are in. Even Colin Powell has refused to endorse McCain, but has agreed to refrain from endorsing Obama at the request of the Bush administration; they are worried it will embarrass them. But Powell has been advising Obama on foreign relations and military matters. Glad to see that Bill Buckley’s son is also doing the right thing.

Elizabeth, As I recall, it was the Bush administration who embarrassed Powell. First, by making him lie and then leaving him out of the loop altogether. Powell has always been a real gentlemen, but I don’t see the GOP ever welcoming him with open arms the way they have Palin. Powell would do better as an Independent, and if he doesn’t get an appointment in an Obama administration, he would make a great Senator. McCain’s low road and dirty campaign has resulted in people actually believing that Obama is a terrorist even to the embarrassment of McCain having to defend Obama at one of his own rallies. The reaction of those people frightened me, and I think McCain realized how dangerous his campaign has become.Even Cindy is getting hot under the collar in her attacks on Obama. I am concerned that there are still people out there who are easily swayed by fear and will react by violence.

Yes the Bush administration viciously used Colin Powell but he is ever the good soldier and would not want to be thought disloyal. I understand that the Secret Service has begun to investigate some of the people who are screaming threats of Kill Obama! at these rallies, if only to make sure they are not serious.

Colin Powell is/was an adult, and was in national politics… nobody made him do anything. He sold out the U.S. population.

Liz — in light of what’s on breakiing news right now, I sincerely doubt it. I am also offended for Hillary — I agree with Carol.

I don’t believe that this will ever happen. After all I think Sarah has a little brains not to run against Clinton. Then again, maybe it would be something to hope will happen then my gal Hillary will be in the white house where she belongs.

Sen. Clinton is a busy, dedicated public servant. I don’t think she has time for such obvious nonsense.

Ah, Mugsy dahling, the voice of reason. That “cat fight” fantasy should be left where it belongs - between Bette and I.

Liz I think your wrong about this one. Hillary is a classy intelligent woman. She would never stoop to a “Cat Fight”………… If they were to ever meet in debate, she would just use her intelligence and Sarah would show her lack of intelligence. The so called Cat Fight would be quickly over. That women is what one would call Street Smart. She attracts a different kind of voter than Hillary fans. I’ve thought since she first appeared on the scene 6 weeks ago she was not quailified to be VP. She continually does and says stupid things that prove to me that I’m right in my opinion. Now that she’s being outright nasty and untruthful in her behavior I would think that Good Americans would wake up and realize how dangerous she really is. Actually the people who admire her are the ones we should fear………….She and her followers are the kind that will lead this Country to total disaster. Bush has already almost destroyed us and now most Republicans are willing to continue on this path to destruction we’ve been on for 8 years. If you believe in God we sure need his help now to save our Country.. The strange thing to me is the people who claim to be so religious are the ones wanting to make this journey. Oh, and the Wealthy one’s who have lead us to this Depression. They don’t really care………….they’ve already ripped us off and have their millions hid away.

Liz…please, it may be news worthy in the wilderness but to put werewolf Palin in the same reality as Hillary is not necessary, downright insulting to civilization as we know it. Let the governor hunt for more moose burgers. Hillary has serious work to do.

First as other have said it will be 8 years from now, since the incumbent Obama will need 2 terms to even make a dent in this mess. Then Hillary can give a wonderful lioness presentation against Palin who, 8 years older, will look even more silly with her winks and giggles.
