A Sarah Palin-Hillary Clinton Catfight? Liz Smith Explains on FOX News (Video)

What’s this about a Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton brawl? Even if Sarah Palin doesn’t become America’s next vice president, she’s not going anywhere. She’s a strong cookie — just look at how she held her own against Joe Biden at the VP debate. In fact, Palin’s claws may come out again in a catfight between her and Hillary …

As for equating Governor Ann Richards and Governor Sarah Palin, may I paraphrase another Texan: Governor, I served with Ann Richards: I knew Ann Richards; Richards was a friend of mine. Governor, you’re no Ann Richards.

Texas Governor Ann Richards was only equivalent to Alaska in one aspect. They were women elected governors of the largest states per square mile of all the United States. Um. Well. They were mothers. Um. Okay, I’m out. Anyone able to think of anything else? Oh, they both wore glasses, um, except for Ann Richards…..

Well, since I get into so much trouble for disagreeing with editorial content, I decided not to comment on the comparison of Palin as a superstar. If given the opportunity to meet with Nicole Kidman or Palin, I would pick Nicole, and if given the opportunity to compare Ann Richards to Palin, I would be laughing so hard at the stupidity of the question.

Liz, please, you are not that hungry for a head line. Do not insult Hillary in that way. It’s not a Dynasty show. This is about our country and intelligent women who can run it. Obviously by now we know Palin is no doubt a fabulous PTA/soccer Mom. Not to be confused with a senator with decades of experience in the field of politics and law making.

Liz, so that’s what we have come to in this country? Pure dazzle, celebrity beyond Hollywood … yes, Sarah is certainly all that. But President? Please don’t encourage all the misinformed, naively-bent and superficial gossip-lovers in this country. They’re a big part of the reason our nation is in such a bad way right now. It’s not political ideology that got us here, it’s all the catfight-loving idiots who haven’t got a clue.

It’ll probably be Palin-versus-Obama in the 2012 election. The comparison difference between President Obama and Palin will be even greater then. Or between Clinton and Palin, if it comes to that. Palin might be better off running in 2016, when she’ll be much more experienced than she is now, and she won’t have to face Obama (and probably not Hillary) in a presidential race.

I highly doubt that Hillary Clinton would take on Sara Palin in any forum. Sen. Clinton is a veteran politician and has survived vicious attacks both during and after President Clinton’s administration. She is too sophisticated and savvy to engage in a cat fight with anyone, particularly someone as uncouth as Palin. My prediction is that Sarah Palin will go back to Alaska after Obama wins the election where she will serve out her gubernatorial term but will be hampered by scandals and waning popularity. Her ambitions for 2012 will be thwarted by her extremist views and her shallowness of character. The country has already had a good look at Palin and the majority of levelheaded Americans have not liked what they’ve seen. As for comparing Palin to Ann Richards…what an insult to the classy, brainy, witty Richards. Maybe you’re just having us on, Liz. Wink.Wink Nudge. Nudge?

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Why Healthcare-NOW? September 12, 2008 by admin Filed under Message Here I am, Marilyn Clement – sick as a dog! I helped found Healthcare-NOW some four years ago when we held a national conference with people from all over the country. Now, despite adversity of the worst kind, I am still here, but dependent on you to push forward this great movement that we have built. “Your health is everything.” How often have you heard that said? “Your body is your temple.” “You are nothing without your health.” “You are so lucky to have your health.” SOUNDS LIKE MY MOTHER. SOUND LIKE YOUR MOTHER. TOO? BORING…until you get sick with something like multiple myeloma cancer, or caught in a train wreck, or swept up by a hurricane or tornado. The cancer is the one that surprised me in June of this year, and buried my activities as the National Coordinator of Healthcare-NOW. The train wreck happened on September 15th when 23 people died and untold others were crushed and hospitalized and injured for life. Hurricane Ike killed and ruined thousands of people. These calamities are on top of the 50,000,000 who had no health insurance at all that week. As the financial marketplace staggers, even more millions won’t be able to afford healthcare for themselves and their families. THERE IS AN EASY ANSWER to the crisis of inadequate coverage and the overwhelming dilemma of no coverage at all for millions more. The answer is Medicare for All. Enhanced and Improved Medicare will give us a national healthcare system that will cover everyone with the best possible health care for the least amount of money. As a nation, we can afford it. The answer is to end the privatization of health care. With the amount of money our nation now spends on healthcare, we can cover everybody – and with better care. Healthcare should belong to all of us … just see what a difference it made in the economies of the most progressive countries – Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Sweden. Try being sick in one of those countries and see how easy it is to get the healthcare you need – whether in a hospital or from a private doctor – with full choice of treatment and doctor at every level. YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN. This is what we want. This is what we can have. Just check the items on these pages to see what you can do to help us win single-payer national health insurance under a Congressional bill already in the House of Representatives – HR 676. Thanks for clicking on www.healthcare-now.org. We need you! Marilyn Clement National Coordinator, Healthcare-NOW “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in healthcare is the most shocking and inhumane.” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Puleez!!! Do not put Hillary’s name in the same sentence with that woman! There is absolutely NO comparison! Hillary is a brilliant woman with an excellent education, and years of experience as a lawyer, Senator, and more. Palin is a hawkey mom with a little education, and lots of female charms to win whatever it is she needs in the moment… too many males are swooning over her physical/sexual appearance! Is THAT what we want for a VP?

If Sarah Palin found herself in the situation of having to debate Sen. Clinton head to head, one to one, she wouldn’t have the foggiest of what to say or what to do. Palin’s thoughts are minuscule compared to even one thought of Sen. Clinton. Sen. Clinton is an intellect, well respected by most of her peers. Palin? No way, no how…..

After their spectacular defeat next month, the Republicans are going to stick Ms. Palin back in Alaska, never to be heard from again. Mark my words. She will be offered up as the reason for the loss, as too “folksy,” too inexperienced, unable to think on her feet, a bad choice all-around, and she’ll be shelved. We won’t see her again on the national stage.
