Sarah Palin on Larry King Live: "Are you Ready to Run for The Presidency?"

By Staff of wowOwow.com

At long last, Larry King spoke with Sarah Palin tonight, and managed to ask her many of the questions we want to know.

Larry asked if she thought she might have hurt the ticket:

Palin: "If I hurt the ticket I am sorry about it…McCain is an American hero…I personally don’t think I, as Sarah Palan from Alaska, caused the outcome…I think the economy tanking…not winning the hispanic vote…being outspent…resulted in thye outcome.

Larry King: "What role do you think you have in the Republican party?

Palin: "Every Republican governor has a role to play in the front lines…what I can do specifically is in making the nation become energy independen…"

Larry King:  "Are you ready to run for the presidency?

Palin:  "I am not going to close any doors to opportunity…if the door is open to me to do so…I belive it would be in the nation’s best interest…"

Larry King:  "Should you have not done the Katie Couric interviews?"

Palin: "Her questions were fair, I am who I am I call it like I see it…certainly, I should have done the interview."

She needs to study political science/government and law. She needs to take this time to enroll in grad school and dive into her current position to learn about what this country was built on. Everything isn’t about Energy. She is ignorant to a lot of issues and we don’t need another George W. Bush in office.

She wasn’t ready to be in any political office outside of Alaska. Can we please drop Ms. Palin until 2011 at least ??

The heading of your story is unfinished. At long last, Larry King spoke with Sarah Palin tonight, and managed to ask her many of the questions we want to know. What is that you “wanted” to know?

The two hour interview with Greta van Susteren on Fox News last week was much more informative. Greta travelled to Alaska and conducted her interview over a period of a couple of days. Much better than the King interview; and a better insight into Sarah’s thoughts about Alaska’s contribution to an Obama administration striving for “energy independence”. Also more in depth discussion about the campaign and the campaign staff now dissing Sarah anonymously.

Why the overkill? Maybe reporters are encouraging her so that they can catch another slip of the tongue or error of fact? (Is she that naive?) Or maybe that’s what she wants — a way to show she’s really not how she was depicted. Who knows. I’d like to check in on her now and then, maybe via the “Mudflats” blog. After all the lessons learned these past months, it could be interesting to see how she conducts herself. Will she become an overachieving governor? Will she regain her 80% state popularity? Will she become an expert on foreign affairs? Or will the frustration and disappointment of losing the campaign make her even more like a caricature of her campaign self?

I loved Greta’s interveiws with Sarah and there is no doubt that this gal is one sharp cookie. Her appearance at the Gov’s conferrence in Florida was also televised in whole and she was extremely articulat and difinative in her plan for the governance of her own state and beyond to the needs of the Replican’s party and how it should evolve better/stronger in moving forward.

Elaine- I think more and more people are admiring Gov. Palin. Camille Paglia has a lot of respect for her and she is very liberal. She defines Gov. Palin as a feminist. I wonder what Gloria Steinem has to say about Camille Paglia. I am looking forward to seeing Gov. Palin in the future. And YES she does have a future:) Take care.
