Sarah Palin to Make 'Saturday Night Live' Appearance UPDATE: Live Reader Forum

In an announcement sure to make this weekend’s Saturday Night Live a ratings winner, Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin will make a guest appearance this coming Saturday night.

The confirmation was made by Presidential candidate John McCain during his interview with David Letterman on his return appearance on the late-night comedy show.

Palin’s appearance has been eagerly anticipated by fans on both sides of the aisle in the wake of the riotous, dead-on portrayals of the Alaskan Governor by 30 Rock star and SNL alumni, Tina Fey.

Past Tina Fey "Palin" performances on Saturday Night Live can be found here and here.

Three weeks ago I would have been excited to see what Tina and the writers could come up with…..but now….Sarah Palin has said so many hurtful, awful and hate speech filled comments, to have someone like that on a comedy show is a joke in itself.

Belinda, Dont you find it strange that she won’t appear on any of the Talk Shows… Wont answer question asked of her. She only talks about one subject. OIL IN ALASKA. Personally I hope she makes a complete fool out of herself on SNL. She’s certainly trying to make America look foolish to the rest of the World I can visualize people from other Country’s shaking their heads in disbelief She and McCain have made a Mockery of our Political system.

I hope that someone asks Palin about the newest campaign ‘tactic’ that she and mcCain started today….read on…this from the WSJ…the link for listen does not work here—-but you can go to Politico or to WSJ to hear the phone calls: http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/Harsh_GOP_robocall_hits_Ayer… From the WSJ October 16, 2008, 7:44 pm McCain Blankets States With Automated Calls Laura Meckler reports from New York City on the presidential race: John McCain’s presidential campaign is blanketing battleground states with automated phone calls that accuse Democrat Barack Obama of working closely with a domestic terrorist, of holding extreme views on abortion and of “putting Hollywood above America.” Automated calls have been an under-the-radar communication tool in recent elections, as they are hard to track and cheap to make. Hundreds of thousands of calls can be delivered before the opposition or the media is aware of them. But today, a barrage of McCain-funded calls came into the open. Democrats have tracked them in 10 competitive states: Colorado, Nevada, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Virginia, Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Maine, where Republicans hope to snag a single electoral vote given to the winner of the northern congressional district. The calls are tough on Obama. The one that has been tracked in the most places picks up on McCain’s message from the stump and in TV ads to tie him to William Ayers, a 1960s era radical who is now a college professor. He has a loose association with Obama: the two sat on a board together and Ayers hosted a political event for Obama years ago, but Obama has said the two are not close. The McCain campaign has said that the issue is not the relationship between the two but Obama’s candor about it. But the automated phone call raises the relationship itself: “Hello. I’m calling for John McCain and the RNC because you need to know that Barack Obama has worked closely with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, whose organization bombed the U.S. capitol, the Pentagon, a judge’s home and killed Americans,” the recorded message said. “And Democrats will enact an extreme leftist agenda if they take control of Washington. Barack Obama and his Democratic allies lack the judgment to lead our country.” The call ends with the legally required disclosure, informing the listener that the call was paid for by McCain-Palin 2008 and the Republican National Committee. (Listen) Asked about the calls, McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said: “They are 100% factual, and the mission of this campaign is to ensure that voters are informed on Election Day and the presidential vetting process is complete.” Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor responded, “John McCain’s campaign has admitted that the economy is a losing issue for them, so he’s chosen to launch dishonorable and dishonest attacks like this.” A second script, picked up in Virginia and North Carolina, warns, “Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats aren’t who you think they are.” It goes on to say that Democrats do not understand the terrorist threat. (Listen) Another recorded message, which Democrats say was made to North Carolina homes, talks about an anti-abortion measure that Obama opposed in the Illinios legislature. (Listen) A fourth message accuses Obama of spending more time at a Hollywood fundraiser than working on the financial crisis. (Listen) Also from the WSJ: Meanwhile, reporters and liberal bloggers dug up a $1,182.98 tax lien the state of Ohio has taken out against Mr. Wurzelbacher, and discovered he’s been plumbing without a license, something he does not deny. Reporters also discovered that Mr. Wurzelbacher’s name is apparently misspelled on the Lucas County Board of Elections database, potentially disqualifying his vote. The Ohio Democratic Party is using that last fact to challenge a Republican lawsuit that seeks to disqualify some new registered voters over such record-keeping discrepancies. Late Thursday, Mr. Wurzelbacher answered the door and told a reporter he wasn’t doing any more interviews. Asked about his claim that the business he wants to buy makes $250,000 a year, when Ohio business records say it’s less, he said, “I don’t discuss that with my partner.”

Apparently, he doesn’t need a license to be a plumber — this I heard on the news tonight.

If he is doing master plumbing work, he most certainly does need a license to practice.

Sandbee 54, I heard on a news program…………(real news) The plumber is unlicensed………… He only made $40,000 last year…………… He owes $1,100 in back Taxes……………… Looks like McCain used the same people to vet Joe the Plumber as he did to Vet Sarah Palin………. Now McCain is using auto phone calls reading lies to people. His whole campaign has fallen into the gutter. I think it’s sad…………..he’s not only going to lose but he’s losing his reputation. People used to have respect for McCain………..I know I did. Not any more. VOTE FOR OBAMA

Me too Sandbee, I just got my ballot. It is something I will defintely take a copy of and frame because this is truly historic. To see Barack Obama’s name listed as the Democratic candidate for President is something I am sure 99.9% of Americans never thought they would see in our lifetime.

I know Sandbee, I watched him as well. He is such a wonderful man, I remember years ago wishing he would run for President. It’s ironic to watch and listen to him praise Sen. Obama, I remember the interview years ago with Gen. Powell’s wife when asked would she want her husband to be President, she said “No, I love my husband and know that America is not ready for a Black president…..” How ironic.

My husband also wanted him to run for President years ago, and at every election since then, I said I think he is one of those people who is too smart to run, they are better being the advisors.
