Sarah Palin: The Movie?

Sarah Palin could be headed to the big screen. Well, not the actual Sarah Palin. Two screenwriters have said this week that they’re looking to make movies based on the life of the Alaska governor. Via Huffington Post:

Two prominent screenwriters are game to turn Alaska governor Sarah Palin’s rise to fame in a movie. "I’m always down for politics as humor. I’m also interested in great characters," Dustin Lance Black told Variety.

His competition, Thomas McCarthy, would focus on Bristol Palin’s future husband, Levi Johnston. "This young man gets his girlfriend pregnant and ends up on the Republican platform at the National Convention," McCarthy said. "This 17-year-old kid from Alaska standing on the stage — there’s a dark comedy in there somewhere. He was like a deer in headlights."

Black countered that the two could be combined. "Levi Johnston would be the B-story," he said. "It would be like dueling narratives."

We know Tina Fey said she wasn’t going to play Palin again, but we think the actress should dust off that satirical accent and give these movies a go!

Sarah: Facepalm What does that mean? The whole project sounds like a B movie to me. As a farce, it might work. Better have some good actors or else I won’t waste one of my Netflix selections on it.

I love Palin-She’s th real deal and packin’ a 38 that many don’t see yet. The flick will probably be done from a Sat night live venue of silliness. She can take it-she knows where her ROCK is. Just keep watchin’-this woman is more than you think. I even listen to conservative talk show boys who are baffled & befuddled by her popularity or at the least angry reactions of far left lib girls. Her interest is filled with something many don’t see yet. This gutsy, rifle tootin’, genuine faith filled, mother of a dear little downs child “gets it”. Her typical Alaskan/Canadian style accent (mocked as being described as stupid verbally) is just that-classic North talk typical of those living in that part of the country (would you mock African Americans for black speak-hmm-double standard here against white-female, tough-girl making it in the boys world?). Being wise, shrew and able to knock out the big boys in her own party for cheating and lying and do battle solo-even with other women who turn against her-takes something bigger than all of us.She knows whats bigger than her-and has the humility to be able to look in the mirror and face that truth. That’s why she has power and has gotten where she is against all odds. “Just you wait enry iggin’s just U wait”! (My Fair Lady).
