Palin Pulls No Punches in Kennedy, Couric and Fey Attacks (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Sarah Palin still isn’t reading the news!

The former vice-presidential candidate, who struggled to name her favorite papers — or any, for that matter — during the campaign, lashed out at Caroline Kennedy yesterday by insisting the public will give the potential New York senator a "free ride" simply because of her family name — and money.

Said Palin in an online video:

I’ve been interested to see how Caroline Kennedy will be handled and if she will be handled with kid gloves or if she will be under such a microscope.

It’s going to be interesting to see how that plays out and I think that as we watch that we will perhaps be able to prove that there is a class issue here also that was such a factor in the scrutiny of my candidacy versus, say, the scrutiny of what her candidacy may be.

Uh-huh … Apparently Palin missed that entire week when everyone was making fun of Kennedy’s excessive use of "you know." Sweet Caroline wasn’t the only woman Palin took a shot at in the video, entitled, "How Obama Got Elected."

The Alaska governor also took some time to criticize Tina Fey, the comedienne whose Palin impersonation raised both their profiles, and Katie Couric, who conducted the aforementioned interview. Both women, claims Palin, "exploited" her for their own advantage. With regard to Fey, Palin sneered:

I did see that Tina Fey was named entertainer of the year and Katie Couric’s ratings have risen. And I know that a lot of people are capitalizing on, oh I don’t know, perhaps some exploiting that was done via me, my family, my administration. That’s a little bit perplexing, but it also says a great deal about our society.

We’re not sure we can really agree with Palin’s charges of "exploitation." First, Fey was simply doing her job — making the nation laugh. And, as you’ll recall, Palin also poked some fun when she herself appeared on Saturday Night Live. As for Couric, well, the journalist simply asked Palin questions. It was Sarah herself who provided the entertainment value.

For those of you who want to hear what else Palin has to say for herself — including how her "mama grizzly" rises when people poke fun at her family — watch this handy video…

In all the elections I have lived through, after the election the losing presidential candidate never talks about his loss, and, for most part, the VP candidate is forgotten in a matter of time..even the name of said candidate. Now we have Sarah Palin all over the place giving interviews, which I find amazing. McCain lost, not her, so why doesn’t she just go quietly into the night and quit all the bitching about how she was mistreated et. etc. Does she really think that the VP candidate rates all this attention?

Palin should of waited till 2016 to try to run for office od vice or president, she diffently was not ready….. In that time she could study the things she really wasn’t up on, as conrent affairs. govermental civics. also her children would be must older, an not be paraded around the stage nite after nite. one thing that really turned me off, was her paradeing that poor 17 year old pregant girl, letting the country know that she was unmarried and pregnant. I don ‘t know about you but if i was bristal i would of been so embrassed. the children didn’t need to be paraded each nite on to that stage. Sorry but to me that is just about child abuse, and should never of happen.

Terry from what I remember Sarah didn’t publically announcer her daughter’s pregnant until it became a big news story and at the time a rumor that ended up true…I dont think Sarah had any intention of anyone finding out about her daughter’s pregnant when it happened but there were so many rumors about her being Trigg’s mother and still people are saying she is Trigg’s Mother b/c she has produced photos of her new baby boy. The media won’t let the Palin’s go…they keep giving her interviews. If we stop giving her interviews and blasting them all over the internet and tv, maybe she will finally go away. Plus so many women here dislike Sarah so much YET they come here and smash her every chance they get…If you dont like her then stop talking about her and let her go away…

The media often doesn’t dig for enough for information. Did Sarah Palin use her position to place Levi in an apprenticeship program that he was not qualified for?. There is a waiting list to enter the program. Did she falsify travel expenses?. The contractor that built her home was awarded an huge state contract- records not available? Sarah should know she is fair game now that she is a potential presidential candidate. People who live in glass houses should not through rocks. The media can be brutal- look at John Travolta. Having said that the media provides a very necessary service and hopefully it will be allowed to and will do its job. I was concerned when Rupert Murdock took ownership of so many media outlets. I

I guess this interview shoots down the theory that Palin and Tina Fey are Best Friends Forever, doesn’t it? My faith in Tina has been restored. Sarah Palin is such a joke. Can you imagine her as a Vice Prez (or God forbid, as Prez) complaining about how the media is treating her? Blame is her game. And constant thirst for media attention. BTW her interview was taped by John Ziegler, former right-wing talk radio host and Palin fan club president.

I wish Sarah Palin well as she continues as governor of Alaska and hope she chooses to reflect on her campaign performance, if you will, and the outcome in the coming months and years. She has noone to blame for her loss but herself. Her lack of preparedness and inability to speak on issues was consistent. She is a politician, that is true, which is how she lasted as long as she did. But to be elected as VP would have taken more work on her part. Her work ended at shopping for appropriate clothes. Her sense of humor was the best tactic when all else failed. This interview shows a bitter woman and I have lost even more respect for her. She obviously couldn’t stand up to media scrutiny. If she can’t handle that, I hope she stays far, far, far away from the White House. Alaska seems like a great place for her to be.

Sarah Palin needs to stop all her complaining. It is only hurting her. If she does want a chance of running in 2012, people are going to remember what a sore loser she is. She needs to study up on foreign policy, economic issues and just continue to be a good Governor.

Sarah wants it both ways…she goes on SNL and then complains about Tina Fey!!! She was asked a simple question by Katie Couric and could not answer it ….it wasn’t a trick question!! Unfortunately Sarah is in “real” life as she is depicted by Tina Fey and Katie Couric…she can’t blame them for how she really is. Sorry Sarah, you cooked your own goose there, don’t start complaining now!

DeBúrca obj - The day some Americans voted for Obama was the day America lost its brain. Apparently you are still looking for yours.  Letting the media have so much influence that they actually controled the outcome of an election in America was devastating to me. Letting the media with the help of Hollywood sway voters in America was even more devastating. I wish this site would start posting stories about what is now ‘allowed to be found out about Obama’. I do not think he is an evil man - I just happen to think that his inexperience will cost this country more than we ever imagined and that is from research I did all by myself.  The election was not a landslide. Not by any means and in just a few more months America will take steps to get control of its government again. Fool us once - shame on you … Fool us twice - shame on me …. There is a grounds well of revolt against this administration that is starting to rise. As Americans we need to hold our media responsible for fairness in reporting. It certainly did not happen in this last election.
