Palin Pulls No Punches in Kennedy, Couric and Fey Attacks (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Sarah Palin still isn’t reading the news!

The former vice-presidential candidate, who struggled to name her favorite papers — or any, for that matter — during the campaign, lashed out at Caroline Kennedy yesterday by insisting the public will give the potential New York senator a "free ride" simply because of her family name — and money.

Said Palin in an online video:

I’ve been interested to see how Caroline Kennedy will be handled and if she will be handled with kid gloves or if she will be under such a microscope.

It’s going to be interesting to see how that plays out and I think that as we watch that we will perhaps be able to prove that there is a class issue here also that was such a factor in the scrutiny of my candidacy versus, say, the scrutiny of what her candidacy may be.

Uh-huh … Apparently Palin missed that entire week when everyone was making fun of Kennedy’s excessive use of "you know." Sweet Caroline wasn’t the only woman Palin took a shot at in the video, entitled, "How Obama Got Elected."

The Alaska governor also took some time to criticize Tina Fey, the comedienne whose Palin impersonation raised both their profiles, and Katie Couric, who conducted the aforementioned interview. Both women, claims Palin, "exploited" her for their own advantage. With regard to Fey, Palin sneered:

I did see that Tina Fey was named entertainer of the year and Katie Couric’s ratings have risen. And I know that a lot of people are capitalizing on, oh I don’t know, perhaps some exploiting that was done via me, my family, my administration. That’s a little bit perplexing, but it also says a great deal about our society.

We’re not sure we can really agree with Palin’s charges of "exploitation." First, Fey was simply doing her job — making the nation laugh. And, as you’ll recall, Palin also poked some fun when she herself appeared on Saturday Night Live. As for Couric, well, the journalist simply asked Palin questions. It was Sarah herself who provided the entertainment value.

For those of you who want to hear what else Palin has to say for herself — including how her "mama grizzly" rises when people poke fun at her family — watch this handy video…

I have never seen another female candidate treated as badly as she was treated. ” Hillary Clinton comes to my mind.

K- I feel that Bill Clinton led the example of how Hillary was treated. Don’t you think?

Oh I think Clinton’s treatment to Hillary is pretty well documented. Just think Monica Lewinsky. And yes I am aware that Bill and Hillary are still married.

I’ve always thought they had an odd marriage. It seems more like a business or political arrangement than anything else. It seems to work for them, though. I couldn’t do it.

Thanks D! I agree a 100% with you as well. I am only in my 30’s. However there are a lot of men and women in their 20’s that did not drink the kool-aid. The media DID attack her unfairly and she does have the right to speak up about it.

Sarah is just a mean spirited nasty little piece of work. She incited hatred and did so, for the sole purpose of furthering herself. She quoted information from the most unethical blogs and was completely irresponsible in her rantings. The media gave her a pass on her crazy witch hunting pastor, on her association with Alaska secessionists, on her increasing deficits and on and on and on. The attacks she got, she got because she is an under-informed, mentally lazy, finger-pointing, unqualified, partisan hack, who traded on her gender and her family and anything else she could get her grubby little hands on. She is the poster child for no accountability, no responsibility and no respectability.

That sums it up pretty well. The few of you who seem to think that Sarah Palin was the first and only woman who has been unfairly scrutinized because she is female need to go crack a few books - academically reviewed, please - and learn a little more about US History. Anyone can rant. Please have something thoughtful to say.

This woman needs to stop whining, stop blaming everyone but herself for her loss. Funny, the last thing I heard her say before the election was that she didn’t worry about Polls because GOD WAS MAKING THE DECISION. OK… Palin, what part of God’s decision do you not understand? Oh, you only believe its God’s decision when He does what you want? How… special.
