Palin Pulls No Punches in Kennedy, Couric and Fey Attacks (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Sarah Palin still isn’t reading the news!

The former vice-presidential candidate, who struggled to name her favorite papers — or any, for that matter — during the campaign, lashed out at Caroline Kennedy yesterday by insisting the public will give the potential New York senator a "free ride" simply because of her family name — and money.

Said Palin in an online video:

I’ve been interested to see how Caroline Kennedy will be handled and if she will be handled with kid gloves or if she will be under such a microscope.

It’s going to be interesting to see how that plays out and I think that as we watch that we will perhaps be able to prove that there is a class issue here also that was such a factor in the scrutiny of my candidacy versus, say, the scrutiny of what her candidacy may be.

Uh-huh … Apparently Palin missed that entire week when everyone was making fun of Kennedy’s excessive use of "you know." Sweet Caroline wasn’t the only woman Palin took a shot at in the video, entitled, "How Obama Got Elected."

The Alaska governor also took some time to criticize Tina Fey, the comedienne whose Palin impersonation raised both their profiles, and Katie Couric, who conducted the aforementioned interview. Both women, claims Palin, "exploited" her for their own advantage. With regard to Fey, Palin sneered:

I did see that Tina Fey was named entertainer of the year and Katie Couric’s ratings have risen. And I know that a lot of people are capitalizing on, oh I don’t know, perhaps some exploiting that was done via me, my family, my administration. That’s a little bit perplexing, but it also says a great deal about our society.

We’re not sure we can really agree with Palin’s charges of "exploitation." First, Fey was simply doing her job — making the nation laugh. And, as you’ll recall, Palin also poked some fun when she herself appeared on Saturday Night Live. As for Couric, well, the journalist simply asked Palin questions. It was Sarah herself who provided the entertainment value.

For those of you who want to hear what else Palin has to say for herself — including how her "mama grizzly" rises when people poke fun at her family — watch this handy video…

Deni Wow, when you come back it is with a bang. Glad to see you back. I have never seen you leave such a long post. Hang in there.

Obama was the senator and Blago was the governor…your words Tanja. Does that make Sarah Palin as corrupt as convicted Senator Ted Stevens?

No, her poll numbers have started going down. And I am not talking about comment sections, I am talking about editorials.

did you bother to look into who commissioned those polls and who actually did the polling? Dan Falen ( the opinion writer) a long time hater of Palin and his friends are responsible ( look at the polling website and see who runs it?) Your research is as lacking as the media. Taking using blog sites as proof! ….did you not think it even a little odd that the Daily KOS poll had the complete opposite results???

S.J.- Thanks for pointing that out. It’s interesting isn’t it. It’s like when I was driving by the fields in Lubbock,Texas during the summer back in the day. I remember the fields were pretty to look at however you could still “smell the manure”. Well I am smelling the manure now:)

Brooklyn That is good to know, she is not running anymore. Attention is now going to focus more on more on the Inaugural and the 50 inaugural balls, what Michelle will wear, which balls the Obamas will attend, etc. As long as Sarah Palin continues to sell newspapers and magazines she will remain in the public eye.

Frankly I hope the press focuses on Michelle’s fashion than Palin’s mouth. As a fan of Project Runway, this will have more interest to me because—hey! I would much rather party than get all upset over politics. btw, are you still with Netflix. You can get Watch Instantly even on your Mac if you download Silverlight. They are offering many good movies over the net. I had fun watching Arsenic and Old Lace the other night. Forgot how funny that movie was.

Buh- Bye
Diehard Republican voters like Palin a lot. I spoke to 2 this week who insisted they voted for Palin, not McCain. I liked this interview a lot. I found her to be honest and forthright and not “bitter” at all. Her honesty may be arresting to many who are accustomed to PR spin as the norm.

Thanks for the laugh! And although I am not sure 2 people constitute an actual quorum, I do hope you are right about them loving Palin. I so want her to be the future of the Republican party.

You’re welcome Deni. :) Although it was only 2 Republicans. That was 100% of the diehard Republicans I spoke to about the candidates. I tend to hang with a more liberal crowd.

Pi I didn’t think she was that bitter in that interview. Think about Nixon and then know bitter. (oops LOL)

Dear DeBurca, Sorry for the lack of puncuation in your name. You appear to be a little off the wall. She has accepted the fact that BHO is the next president. For you to carry on about her the way you do makes me think that you are perhaps a little jealous of her as a women who has accomplished something. You think that by bashing her multiple times on this forum you can give your self an ego boost. Won’t work, You are a dips**t bimbo.
