Palin Pulls No Punches in Kennedy, Couric and Fey Attacks (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Sarah Palin still isn’t reading the news!

The former vice-presidential candidate, who struggled to name her favorite papers — or any, for that matter — during the campaign, lashed out at Caroline Kennedy yesterday by insisting the public will give the potential New York senator a "free ride" simply because of her family name — and money.

Said Palin in an online video:

I’ve been interested to see how Caroline Kennedy will be handled and if she will be handled with kid gloves or if she will be under such a microscope.

It’s going to be interesting to see how that plays out and I think that as we watch that we will perhaps be able to prove that there is a class issue here also that was such a factor in the scrutiny of my candidacy versus, say, the scrutiny of what her candidacy may be.

Uh-huh … Apparently Palin missed that entire week when everyone was making fun of Kennedy’s excessive use of "you know." Sweet Caroline wasn’t the only woman Palin took a shot at in the video, entitled, "How Obama Got Elected."

The Alaska governor also took some time to criticize Tina Fey, the comedienne whose Palin impersonation raised both their profiles, and Katie Couric, who conducted the aforementioned interview. Both women, claims Palin, "exploited" her for their own advantage. With regard to Fey, Palin sneered:

I did see that Tina Fey was named entertainer of the year and Katie Couric’s ratings have risen. And I know that a lot of people are capitalizing on, oh I don’t know, perhaps some exploiting that was done via me, my family, my administration. That’s a little bit perplexing, but it also says a great deal about our society.

We’re not sure we can really agree with Palin’s charges of "exploitation." First, Fey was simply doing her job — making the nation laugh. And, as you’ll recall, Palin also poked some fun when she herself appeared on Saturday Night Live. As for Couric, well, the journalist simply asked Palin questions. It was Sarah herself who provided the entertainment value.

For those of you who want to hear what else Palin has to say for herself — including how her "mama grizzly" rises when people poke fun at her family — watch this handy video…

It was my experience during this election to learn that many young democrats are mostly caucasion, non Christian, pro abortion, pro gay democrats who were raised in republican homes.

Oh yes? And was this a scientific study you did? Well, before you do these “studies” get your terminology straight. Most Democrats are pro-CHOICE as opposed to anti-choice (never met anyone who is “pro abortion”), of various faiths, and pro equal rights for all US citizens.

I’m sorry that was your experience. I worked the Obama Campaign. I knocked on doors, did phone calls and even spoke to people when I was grocery shopping here in Central Florida. I spoke with hispanics, blacks, caucasions, christians, jews and muslims. I spoke with republicans and independents as well as democrats. I spoke with 18yr olds up to 88yr olds and I found that they were voting for Obama because they wanted change from the catastrophy that the last 8yrs have been. I signed people up to vote and encouraged early voting. Never in any election that I have participated in since 1976 have I seen so many republicans that voted democrat as in this election. Even the staunch republican state of Florida turned blue this election.

I am beginning to feel a little sorry for Sarah Palin. She told a huge lie back in March 08 and has had to continue to cover for that lie ever since. If her staff are as clever as they must be to close down websites and remove incriminating photos they should have also been able to produce a birth certificate for Trig and the whereabouts of the MIA doctor. People Magazine now denies their offer for Bristol’s baby photographs—we’d like some proof that Tripp was indeed born.

Why is it important to see Trig’s birth certificate? Did anyone ask to see the Obama children’s birth certificates? Off limits, yes, even for the media. Comes under the heading of “It’s None of Your Business.” This is exactly what I’ve been talking about how the media was out to destroy Sarah Palin on every level. I actually feel sorry for people who find this information even remotely interesting. Do yourself a favor and go pick up a National Enquirer.

Betsy….. does a woman candidate have to now show birth certificates of her children and grand children now to be vetted? Will men have to do the same? PDS……some need therapy!

WOW Sarah still brings out the worst in most on this site…I find it hard that most of the women responding to this blog has said several times they are so sick of hearing from Palin or about Palin YET when her name is mentioned on this site, they go hog wild. If your so sick of hearing or reading about her, then STOP. You have all formed your opinions about her and most don’t like her, OK then, GREAT, dont like her, be done with it. Stop talking about her and just click down to the next article. Don’t even comment. I am asking WHY? If you dont like her and you have said several times you can’t stand to read about her or hear her, why do you continue to do it?

Merrell…that is all fine IF the comments would stay focused on those happenings and yes they were pretty funny…but the comments in here get so nasty & distasteful, nothing funny about them. And then to hear the same people say how much they hate to hear about Palin YET they are the same one’s who are responding and blogging about her…it gets kind of funny…I mean how many times can you say the same mean, distasteful stuff about one person? I mean if we don’t watch her, maybe she will finally go away.

Merrell…I agree. I have to say some of the things that I have read from some bloggers on this site, and I am guilty of it also (in my past) is pretty shocking. I mean you will have one blogger simply state they dont like Palin and then another blogger just freaks out… After listening to her speak I couldnt take it anymore…I just had to turn her off. Her accent and voice just get to me, and not in the right kind of way.

C Hardy .. I have to agree with Merrell that Sarah Palin now acts more as an entertainer than a politician. I think people secretly delight whenever she puts up an apperance, because the moment she opens her mouth, she just can’t help shooting herself in the foot ! And then we are constantly astounded that there are many people who absolutely love Sarah and what she represents, who fervently hope that she would run for President in 2012. I would hazard a guess that those readers who profess that they can’t stand Sarah, and yet waste no time to pen their sharp comments whenever she speaks (gasp .. she speaks ! and she can string a reasonably complete sentence !!), are actually addressing their strong comments to those Sarah Palin fans. What to do .. for people to love an empty-head, presumptuous and heartless politician like Sarah Palin, they must be empty-head, presumptuous and heartless themselves. Now, no doubt some of you would attack my description of Sarah Palin. Whole forests can be cut down to spell out our reasons, but here is a brief summary : empty-head : she thinks being able to see Russia from her house makes her an expert in foreign policy, and oh yes - her pretension to read newspapers is embarassing ! presumptuous : she does not have the humility to recognise that she simply does not have the qualifications to be V.P. or God forbids, to be President ! John McCain chose her because he believed she would electrify the fundamentalist Christian base of the Republican party - and he was right. He didn’t choose her because of her skills - Mitt Romney, Governor Jindal or Elizabeth Dole (if we have to select a Republican woman for the sake of selecting a woman) would all have far stronger track records than Sarah Palin. Unfortunately for McCain, and fortunately for America, that strategy proved inadequate. Heartless : another blogger, a mother herself, commented that what really turned her off Sarah Palin is how she treats motherhood in a flippant manner. She continues to advocate public policies (NO to sex education for teenagers) based on her religious beliefs even in the face of overwhelming evidence of the sufferings that those policies bring, as neatly exemplified by her own teenage daughter getting pregnant OUTSIDE marriage. Now - on to your criticisms of my comment on Trig and the rumour that he is not Sarah Palin’s son. Frankly I couldn’t care less whether he is or isn’t her son - I am quite happy to accept that it is none of my business. What I said is that, IF a politician really wants to rebut an allegation - then he or she better furnishes the public with conclusive EVIDENCE. What annoys me here is that Sarah refuses to offer such evidence; all she wants to do is to SAY that it isn’t so, and then she gets all boiling when the media refuses to believe her. So, my point is that - if you want to rebut a rumour, then take the trouble to PROVE that it is false. If you refuse to back up your rebuttal, then don’t complain when people don’t believe you. Just YOUR saying so does not make it so. Sarah Palin for President 2012 .. ??? Oh, YES YES YESSS !!!! Bring it on, please. It would make the most entertaining presidential election ever - though perhaps not the most thrilling as the outcome would not have ever been in doubt.

Leo…I agree that the more Palin talks the more most people realize her being in the White House is not good for us…I truly hope she does not pursue anymore VP or POTUS races… Happy New Year!

DeB Obviously, I meant pro-choice. Actually, you knew what I meant but I guess you needed to blow more hot air to mark your territory. And, I didn’t do a study. I met a lot of young people who had been raised in republican homes who are now non Christian, pro-choice and equal rights. In other words, DeB, direct opposites of their parents. I found it interesting.

There is a huge difference between the term “Pro Choice” and the term “Pro Abortion” and I do not accept the second term. Also, when most people who are Anti-Choice support the Bush War and the death penalty, I don’t accept the term “Pro-Life” either. It’s Anti-Choice. The fact that some children grew up taking different views than their parents isn’t surprising. I am sure that there are even “many” young republicans who come from democratic homes.

The only thing exploited during the Curic and Gibson interviews, was the fact that Sarah Palin seriously lacked knowledge when it came to issues of great importance. And I believe the media did it’s job in pointing that out. As far as her feeling attacked, I very much feel she brought much of that upon herself. As far a Trigg goes, I think it’s a non issue, there is no reason to believe that he is not the birth child of Sarah Palin, and for the media or anyone else to demand that she produce his birth certificate, crosses the line IMHO. As for the scrutiny of Levi and Bristol, and Bristols pregnancy, perhaps Sarah shouldn’t be so adament about impressing her “values and beliefs” on everyone else until she can at least impress them upon her own children. Palin, should use Bristols pregnancy as evidence that perhaps more “sex ed” should be available, instead of denouncing it.
