Sarah Palin's Saturday Night Live Appearance (Video)

Tina Fey and Sarah Palin didn’t exactly share the stage on Saturday Night Live.  But dressed exactly alike, they did both appear along with Alec Baldwin and Lorne Michael in a wry but subdued opening skit.  Later in the show, she appeared on the Weekend Update news desk while Amy Poehler performed  riotously funny Palin rap.  While no minds were changed by the Governor’s performance, she easily passed the SNL trial by fire.

Kelly, I share your concern. This ACORN subterfuge is unsettling, and I would like to see some standards set for the voting machines prior to the election before all the lawsuits start flying and the Supreme Court has an opportunity to get involved again. Pessimism or pragmatism? Actually, more accurately, fear. I welcome Powell’s endorsement and for the most fundamental reasons that Obama is the best candidate: ‘ability to inspire’ and ‘inclusive nature of his campaign’. Peace and grace

I suppose Palin was attempting to appear “dignified”, but at this point, I don’t think it would really have mattered what she did on SNL. The rap segment was hilarious, and Amy Pohler did an awesome job, but it would have made more sense for Tina Fey to do it.

Hi everybody, Roling Stone has an article called ‘Bock The Vote’. It’s about the GOP’s campaign to deter new voters and discard Democratic ballots. It’s a real eye-popper. Why have none of the other big newspapers jumped on this … or did I miss it? Here’s the link. http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/23638322/block_the_vote/5 Have a good day, if you can. Frankly some of the stuff that’s going on in politics right now scares the daylights out of me. Bonnie

Bonnie, Thank you for the link…We already know who The People want, now we have to make sure Dirty Politics does not give us The Unwanted!

yes - did you see this one on people voting when in foreclosure? it’s really gross and pathetic - fighting for our freedom, to do what, prevent people from voting? creepy if true - I am hoping it’s not: http://rawstory.com/news/2008/CNN_GOP_using_foreclosure_list_to_1020.htm…

By the way—this article makes it sound like the Bush admin is bringing Sen Obama’s staff in for briefings. This is being done for both candidates…oops- that was left out. http://music.aol.com/radioguide/bb

Star, Obama always jumps ahead. In the primaries, he considered himself the nominee long before he was. This time, he’d better not measure for new draperies too early, McCain might not like the color.

I agree that it’s to early to tell who the president will be after the elections. for one thing… i don’t trust polls. but i would like to point out to Marjorie that Obama thought of himself as the nominee… and he was right.

Aw, he could be a sport and let us vote, what do you say?

Kelly, The Super Delegates carried him across the line. I think Hillary had him on the popular vote. But, that’s all history and caucuses and such. Your candidate might have to win this one on his own despite ACORN voter registrations… and he just might win it… or not.

I am pleased that Colin Powell endorsed Obama. But I am sorry to see that he now is a target of right wing attacks. He like many republicans wonder what has happended to their party. What happened to the “compassionate conservative.”? The selection of Gov. Sarah Palin as Sen. McCains running mate has attacted an element to his campaign that Senator McCain is not comfortable with but he wants to win the election. I love when I see a glimpse of the old McCain. Gov. Palin’s background and record speaks for itself. She is Joe six pack and just a regular hockey mom. She has continued her divisive rhetoric on the campaign trail. If Senator McCain wins this election - I will pray that he has a long life and that he can control Gov. Palin- I think she is a dangerous person. She will bring about book banning- ,interfere with religous freedoms, spoil the environment and monkey with the educational system. . And while we are on the subject of domestic terrorist what the Todd Palin? Has he dropped efforts to make Alaska a seperate country? Is he anti-american? I am asking in advance if I sound too harsh- please forgive. me. I love my country- I am a Liberal Democrat.

I know I am accused of being a total partisan, but I will state right here, Sarah Palin is a very attractive woman. She majored in Communications and wanted, initially, to be a sports announcer. I predict right now that she will not finish her term as Governor and will be hired by FOX. She will be the main attack dog going after the Obama administration. Mark my words ! She will not be able to resist. The only thing I am not sure of is whether she will dye her hair blond.

I guess the only thing I can hope for is that she doesn’t dye her hair blonde!! I hope you are right. You betcha- that is were she needs to be.
