Sheila Nevins: 'I'd Like to Take President Bush to Arlington Cemetery'

In response to: Sunday is President George W. Bush's birthday. On this 4th of July, do you have any special birthday wishes for him?

I’d like to take President George W. Bush to Arlington Cemetery, Section 60 — where soldiers lie buried from the war in Iraq. Median age about 25. I’d like it to rain on him with the volume of tears he has caused. Drenched with this sorrow, I would like him to light a candle at each gravesite and pause and reflect on the agony of these losses. Cheney should go with him and kiss this hallowed ground.

I agree Josie. If there was any compassion in them they wouldn’t have sent all of those people to their deaths for nothing but their own private agendas in the first place.

Okey, do any of you ladies have any tears for the people shot down in cold blooded murder on the streets of America by drug dealers and gang members? They outnumber in one year, all of the American deaths in Iraq in total and they are just as senseless.

Tracy Trempt arrived here with Ann Coultergeist and writes just like her. Multiple tours of duty is a back door draft. Sending National Guard soliders that volunteered to fill sandbags on weekends in places like New Orleans—where they weren’t available because they were in Iraq dying for GWB’s phony war, is also a backdoor draft.
