Sheila Nevins: Fewer Babies, More Babysitters

Sheila Nevins
The world is overpopulated. This odd woman should live her days with her womb barren as it was meant to be and take up knitting, gardening or possibly babysitting.

Sheila, I have a friend whose three children are grown and out of the house. All three married, one about to make her a grandmother. Anywho, every Monday she goes to a hospital nursery to rock those babies who otherwise receive little or no “cuddle” time with another human being. Then, she would probably be most gladly received at a daycare center or Head Start Program. Still leaving time for that nap before bed time..answer: NO Peace and grace

sheila, you are so right. when we were young, this was not possible. as i told the doctor the first time they wanted to give me a colonoscopy, just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. (in the case of the colonoscopy i relented.) but modern fertility practices need practicing consciences.

Excellent comment by Sheila! The world is seriously overpopulated, our major problem — too many babies, too many old people, all consumers of valuable and scarce resources. See recent post about living longer through stem cells — that is height of selfishness and disdain for the planet. Tippi
