'SNL' on Uncle Sam's Sanity Level for Giving Billions to AIG: 'Oh My God, Are You Serious, Federal Government!?' (Videos)

Below is a copy of AIG’s invoice from their swanky California retreat — six days after the Federal Government gave the insurance giants $85 billion. On Wednesday, Uncle Sam reportedly handed them another $37.8 billion. (This was found at the thesmokinggun.com, and was reportedly obtained by the congressional panel that has been holding hearings this week about Wall Street’s crisis.)

I love SNL skits, always have and this one on the AIG issue was just as entertaining. Really funny. But I have to disagree with wowOwow’s staff (yet again), the debate skit in which they showed McCain mindlessly dottering around the stage, walking into shots and getting in the way….come on, that was priceless. I never laughed so hard.

Who’s doing the Cindy McCain character on SNL? Did you see her today on the campaign Trail of Tears? Smiling and nodding and clapping? I’m sure that the “demographic” of the McCain audiences isn’t lost on you and your observant eye……

The simultaneous question and answer session was perfect. It really underscored the overuse of campaign rhetoric and themelines from both sides. (Does anyone else feel like they’ve been hit over the head with a two-by-four?)

Georgia, I could be wrong, but I haven’t seen them do a spoof of Cindy McCain. Like Palin and Hillary, she would be easy to do. I put Cindy McCain in the same category with the airhead who was having an affair with John Edwards. She knew John McCain was married, that his wife was sick and she still decided to cheat with him…..and then marry him a month after he left her. Ugh! But as I have pointed out to friends, I watch almost every political rally both Rep & Dem to stay on top of who is saying what. I have noticed that Cindy and John are not particularly affectionate. Have you noticed that? They hardly ever look each other in the eye. Conversely, you constantly see Barack and Michelle, hugging, holding hands, touching/rubbing each others backs….quite the contrast.
