By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Prices at the pump hit another record high Thursday as the average national cost per gallon of regular gas jumped 2.3 cents overnight to $3.556, according to AAA. Whose fault is this? How long will prices hover in this expensive range? Click here to read the story on Yahoo and click here to read about one Wisconsin gas station owner who shut down his pumps in protest. Can protesting reverse the trend? Can anything?

RoseMerry—-I agree with THE HAGUE for the entire Bush cabal…..but also agree with Mark…am not for capital punishment even for these mass murderers..and if anyone thinks their oil war is anything but organized mass murder they are really divorced from their own humanity.

It will be permanently solved once we are “allowed” to find an alternative renewable resource to power our transportation until the future of oil prices will remain unpredictable since the demand in other parts of the world (including the US) is only increasing!

Ms Hoffman, I think you may be on to something, but unfortunately I don’t agree with capital punishment, even for the Bush/Cheney/Halliburton cabal.

Ladies, Here is a link to send a email to your senators to support the ERA bill that was defeated by Republicans 2 days ago. This link will tell you how your Senators voted. This bill is not dead- they only need 3 Republicans to vote humanely. http://www.congress.org/congressorg/webreturn/?url=/now/issues/alert/?al…

Yesterday C-Span aired a great House of Representatives committee hearing chaired by Ed Markey of Mass. (Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming.) I assume it can be downloaded on C-Span’s website. All kinds of great information — about how prices are being manipulated by the Department of Energy using the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and by the companies who control supply in various un-American, monopolistic ways. Gasoline is probably never going to get any cheaper and that’s probably a good thing if we can figure out how not to bankrupt ourselves before we become at least as efficient as the Japanese and the Europeans.

I have stated for several years that if all Americans would park their cars one day a week (we could all do that) it would immediately cut consumption and oil companies profits by 1/7. To date, Americans are too spoiled to do it. Also, my husband was in the automobile business. He has know that the ability to build cars with high mpg ability has been there for many years. They don’t want us to use less. Re Dr. Klein - please disregard his posts and make no comment or response whatever. When I see his post, I just move on to the next one. Have a lovely day, Ladies.

Arlene—totally agree with all you said…..actually I no longer have a car, but am fortunate to live in a city where have great transportation….but as you say…nearly everyone can park it one day a week. Re Klein….agree and he doesn’t deserve the “Dr” he should have his license pulled for being an abusive hate monger.

Dr. Klein says he has been living off of dividends for a couple of decades - So he no longer practices—-Thank goodness, but I wonder why. ????

He’s an “abusive hate monger” because he has an OPINION that differs from yours? Aren’t you the one always telling everybody to read the Constitution and The Bill of Rights? Last time I checked, freedom of speech was still there. Judging by the way all of you treat him, I can see why he hates women.

Dear Dr. McGinnis, If you were to invite me to your home and I were to visit with a supercilious expression the whole time spouting opinions you found obnoxious precisely because I knew they would make you uncomfortable, you would react as most of the women (and men) do to Dr. Troll ( I think his middle name is Strangelove.) I’ve tried to take him on in a civilized way to relieve the women of the unpleasantness of dealing with him. I’m concluding that ignoring him totally is probably the best strategy. I’ll probably do the same with you in the future. I wish you well; I hope the good Dr deigns to lift you up to join his coterie of elite executive types deemed fit to kiss his pinky ring. You deserve one another. Aloha from Honolulu — PS: I’m glad we can all agree on one thing — this guy is a dyed in the wool misogynist.

Look, Michael, let’s inject a little sanity here. This is a web site, not someone’s home. You all could have chosen to ignore him from the very beginning when you realized what his beliefs were. After seeing how some of these “thoughtful, intelligent” women have ripped into me, I realize that their insecurities won’t let them ignore him. I came on this site a few days ago, read an article, responded to it and to a comment someone made and immediately, the Mugsy et al. police jumped all over me. Then, they started acusing me of being Dr. Klein (which obviously, I am not). I realize that I have a different point of than most of you, but isn’t that what it is all about—discussion among intelligent women? And, honestly, “you deserve one another”, was that really necessary?

Dr. McGinnis - MKlein isn’t always on this site, but you kind of show up when he does. Maybe that is why people get confused. You have a perfect right to be here and I think you have raised some interesting questions but people are not able to get beyond you being conservative. I think more of those questions have to be asked. I always learn something here, and as you, I don’t care what they think. I say go ahead - they have a right to be who they are, just as you do. In November we all have one vote. I have no interest in trying to get anyone to vote the way that I do. I believe everyone should vote their convictions. My son is in Iraq right now and I have many mixed feelings on all of this, but I am not of a mind to just trash trash trash. Firstly, I don’t have the energy for it nor do I get off on it, so it doesn’t do me much good but only makes me feel lousy. Probably the best thing I ever learned is that this is a world based on perceptions. We have all been in meetings where something was said and it and a democrat will hear it one way and and repub will hear it another, and what they get out of it is totally up to perception based on correct or erroneous concepts. But me, I prefer to see the glass half full.

So true, Frances. We all have a perfect right to be here. But Dr. McG-Klein is extremely insulting to women and womanhood. You have the maturity and grace to state your ideas and opinions without being deliberately inflammatory. Bravo.

Ginger, I am not Dr. Klein and since I am one myself, do not hate women!!! You apparently are as crazy as the “Princess”. I guess this is how “conspiracy theories” get started. Maybe the reason you are all finding it so hard to accept this reality is because none of you know any conservative women.
