They’d better be good. I have supported Obama since the SC primary because I did not like the way the Clinton’s were speaking about him. BUT no one could fault Hillary last night! What a grand speech. She was over the top. Makes me proud to be a woman and democrat.

What does Obama mean saying “change you can trust” when he nominates an insider’s insider for VP.

I’m REALLY looking forward to Biden’s speech but I hope Bill keeps it short, frankly I think Hillary said it all. I would rather he spoke right after her … where he belongs… right after her.

I am really looking forward to tonight’s speech from Biden. Contrary to certain comments above from someone I choose not to recognize, I think that Biden is a very wise choice, and is very important to the future of our nation.

right on Diana, seems to me an insiders’ insider (not even sure what he means by that) is indeed a very wise choice!

Diana, Finally saw his speech, Bill Clinton’s and Kerrys…..I thought all were excellent. This convention has done what it needed to do…and with the energy building to tonight. Super happy with everything. Am also very happy that I can lay aside my disappointments with Bill and Hillary. They won me back over these two nights. They were tremendous, too. Agyness must be having a ball being there!!

Did you see, Winery, where Hillary Clinton got stuck between floors in an elevator last night? Had to be lifted out? I’m sure she handled it with good humor, but how embarrassing!

Why don’t they ever talk about McCain’s birth in a “strange foreign land”, as Cokie Roberts said about Obama’s birth in Hawaii, which, incidentally was made a state in 1959? http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/02/28/america/28mccain.php

It’ll be a rousing night, just like Tuesday night was.

It sure was, James. Twice tonight, I’m weeping like a baby.

The convention got off to a slow start Monday, but really picked up steam. Hillary’s speech will be remembered as the best, in terms of what needs to be done to help out the millions of Americans who are hurting. But Bill Clinton’s really helped unify the party more than any other, as he expressed his strong support for Obama and stated in plain language how much damage George Bush has done to this country. Joe Biden spoke with passion, but stammered a bit, as well. He’ll be much better on the stump. All in all, I expect Obama to get a bump now from this convention, especially if there is a strong wrap-up tomorrow at Invesco Field (a.k.a., Mile High Stadium). It was a night for which your father would’ve been proud).

Yep, I do, too, James. Hope it’s a big one. About Joe: I think he’s better off-the-cuff. He did really great tonight, but I so admire him when he speaks his mind spontaneously — with passion and intelligence, always.

Sometimes we need the experience, Kim. And, at this time, it is essential. One reason that I am voting for Obama/Biden is that I know that it will bring back into our government people like Richard Holbrooke, Dennis Ross, Strobe Talbot, people with such expertise, that this administration chose to ignore(at least publicly). I don’t have a problem with insiders. In fact I am very equivocal about term limits. It’s what some of the insiders choose to do with their insideness. And, guy making that post above doesn’t think that McCain/Bush/Cheney/Rumsfield et al. aren’t insiders? Fiddlesticks!

I simply could not agree with you more, Diana. There is nothing wrong with having someone who knows how to get things done along with someone who has youth on his or her side. To me, that’s the way of the future. Those of us past a certain age who are filled with experience partnered up with the vitality of youth. We are all in this together, after all.
