'Upskirt' Rogue Photography - A New Porn Genre That Might Be Starring You

Dual digital technologies in the form of the cell phone and the Internet are combining to fuel the latest online pornography craze, and this time, the "stars" of the show are unsuspecting women going about their daily routines.
"Upskirt" photographers are voyeurs who use their cell phones to take stealth photographs or videos of women’s rear ends as they climb stairs, go up escalators, climb in and out of cars. In most cases, the victim is unaware of the photography, and when they are, there are few legal remedies to redress the assault.
In an article on Salon.com today, author Tracy Clark-Florey describes the case of a young 16-year-old woman in Tulsa, who was surprised to find an upskirter taking a photo under her skirt as she shopped in the local Target. The subsequent case against the perpetrator was dropped on the "grounds that the girl did not, as required by the state’s Peeping Tom law, have ‘a right to a reasonable expectation of privacy,’ given the public location."
Online, these photographers have created a whole new genre of pornography, complete with message boards and forums where aficionados debate techniques and body areas, as well as the allure of different types of women subjects.
