Vice Presidential Debate Reader Forum

She’s the ingenue from igloo-land who says Alaskans watch for Russian planes invading US airspace.  He’s the beltway boss who claims that President Franklin Roosevelt calmed the nation on TV when the 1929 stock market crashed, somehow forgetting that Hoover was President and that TV had yet to be invented.

No, you can’t make this up, but you can weigh in with your friends here on www.wowOwow.com, on Thursday night at 9 PM, as the Mistress and the Master of the Malaprop meet for their only debate of the Election Season.

Thursday, October 2, 9 PM EST

I have to say that she did better than her previous interviews, she was well rehearsed. But she could not deliver on her own, without the clue sheets ,what was asked from her. She did not know Mc Cains voting record for example as Biden haven been there knew it all. I probably would buy from her if she was my Avon lady but she would have to be able and convince me that the wrinkle cream works. As a VP and a potential President she is not selling me a darn thing. Not impressed with substance, delivery, brain power. I have known Victory after ww2, I have lived it but what are they talking about Victory in Iraq is another kettle of fish, it is and always was an invasion. There is no Victory after an invasion , there is shame.

Oh, but we forget sometimes that it wasn’t an invasion…it was “anticipatory self-defense”…..

and so it was a very dangerous war game. My heart aches to think of the lives lost, ours and theirs. Why? Because one President can’t think for himself and listens to a dangerous VP. Mc Cain may or may not have 8 years left, I wish him well, but I just can’ fathom that PTA lady confronting the Iran , Russia and Palestinian boys. They do not get into hockey fights, they can destroy most of us, she is not what I would call a world referee. Please…………

So sue me!” What happens to copyright law in this day and age? Bill Maher said on Friday something about “Governor Avon Lady”…..Would you buy a fifteen dollar jar of lip plumper from this woman?

I don’t think so, she has more experience in running a state ! balance budget, she has a surplus in Alaska. There’s a new women in town Hillary meet Sarah Palin !

A few notes from last night: Palin acted as if she was at a poetry slam — said the word “maverick” so many times it turned into a cliche’ in less than 45 minutes. I felt as if she was looking for something to rhyme with energy as well. I don’t like her view on education : third graders get an A for watching the debate. I think she watched “Fargo” too many times. YOU BETCHA. I was waiting on the “big” answer from her of “What does a VP do?” — she still doesn’t know Biden clearly won. He seemed sincere, serious and on task. I liked this: Cheney is the most dangerous man in the world.

Yeah, Ahmadinejad you betcha, Ahmadinejad doggonit, up ther in Wasilla, Ahmadinejad aw gee, wait Ahmadinejad wasn’t up ther, but you ask any soccer mom about Ahmadinejad. Slightly exaggerated maybe, but she sure seemed to be proud that she knew his name and could even pronounce it.

I watched most of the debate and felt that both did Ok…I didnt see where Palin was anymore colder thatn Biden was…Actually Palin showed a little more emotion that Biden did, to me! I do feel that Biden answered more of the questions directly where Palin would get off the subject but she always came back. When I listened to the debate I never once heard her use the word maverick… I can say this…neither one of them makes me want to run out and Vote for Obama or McCain…Neither one of them changed my mind as being undecided.

CO were we watching the same debate, I really don’t want to go into the emotional aspect because that is relative, but I think at one point Joe Biden was really emotional, even choking up a little when he talked about his late wife and being a single father. Anyway. Did you actually say you didn’t here her say the word “Maverick”…..really, well she did about 4 or 5 times and toped it with “Joe -Six Pack” whatever that means.

Ummmm YES I watched the same debate and as its been said before we all see different things…If you would have read my whole blog I said I watched most of it…if she said it 4 or 5 times after I fell asleep, then so be it…all I said is that I didnt hear her say Maverick the whole debate as one blogger said earlier in the discussion. Did I personally like the way she was condensending, NO, but did I like the way Biden talked all the time, NO…who cares. All that matters to me is who is going to make my life better…Right now I don’t think either canidate, President or VP is going to do that…I just dont see how it will change so quickly as everyone keeps saying if Obama is voted. I would expect someone, anyone, to choke up when they talk about their late wife who died in a terrible accident…that doesnt make up my mind about wanting his as VP or Obama as President. I mean everyone has issues with McCain’s age and that he is a heartbeat away…Biden is no spring chicken so IF Obama is elected and GOD FORBID if something awful happened to him, then Biden would be President, so wouldnt he be like McCain and a heartbeat away?

Go back and read the transcript because she overused the word Maverick so much that Biden had to finally respond to it.
